New bloods have replaced blue bloods at this NCAA tournament, where just four of the 16 teams moving on have a championship in their history.

Naturally, he got his wish.
No matter how big you are in Hollywood, Michael Jordan will put the fear of God into you. At least, that’s how Ben Affleck described meeting the legendary sports figure ahead of filming the movie Air: Courting a Legend.
The film is set in 1984, before Nike was the iconic brand it is today, and centers around the company’s pitch to land Jordan on an endorsement deal.
More top seeds have fallen — who’s stepped into their place for the second weekend of the men’s NCAA tournament?
MLB fans loved seeing this.
While the World Baseball Classic has been all the rage the past few weeks, there still have been MLB spring training games going on, and we’ve been able to see some pretty cool things so far, including one of the most embarrassing swinging strikes of the year.
It happened Sunday in a Cardinals–Mets game in Port St. Lucie, Fla., when Tylor Megill threw some high heat inside on Óscar Mercado. The Cardinals center fielder committed to swinging and just couldn’t stop himself.
How’d that go for him? Not well at all.

Dan Snyder doing Dan Snyder things.
The Washington Commanders saga is drawing closer to the finish line. Reports emerged over the weekend that owner Dan Snyder had cleared out much of his personal office at the team facility, foreshadowing a sale of the team might be imminent. Now new details have surfaced about just how colossally cheap Snyder is being on his way out the door.
The C.J. Gardner-Johnson news was a bummer for Eagles fans, but his agency took things to a whole new level on Sunday evening.
The two sides reportedly met Sunday and had a good conversation.
Iona coach Rick Pitino met with officials from St. John’s on Sunday, and the two sides are in serious talks to make Pitino the next coach of the school’s men’s basketball team, per ESPN’s Pete Thamel and Jeff Borzello.
During the conversation, Pitino explained his potential vision for the Red Storm and inquired about the school’s commitment to his lofty expectations. Pitino reportedly is only interested in taking the job if he believes the program can compete for Big East championships and the national title.

The entire event felt like a fever dream
I don’t envy the group of people in charge of marketing the NCAA Wrestling Championships. You’re already responsible for trying to get people to care about a sport that, on a good day, ranks in popularity somewhere between badminton and lacrosse.
Now this was madness.
March Madness hasn’t disappointed at all this year as we’ve seen some historic upsets, some furious coaches, and some amazingly bad beats.
On Friday, we showed you one of those mind-boggling bad beats that happened at the end of Alabama’s opening-round game.
On Sunday, we saw one that that was even more unbelievable – and probably totally heartbreaking if you were on the wrong side of it.
This one happened at the end of the TCU-Gonzaga game.
Drew Timme used some coarse language after beating TCU.
The Gonzaga Bulldogs beat the Horned Frogs in epic fashion 84-81 to survive and advance to the Sweet 16.
After the game, Timme was being interviewed on the TBS broadcast and proudly proclaimed this year’s squad “could not be the team that f*cks this one up” when talking about the school’s Sweet 16 streak, which extends back to 2015.
He also didn’t even appear to notice he dropped an f-bomb on live TV.
