The Cavs tanking the last game of the season reeks of cowardice and idiocy
The Cleveland Cavaliers had a lot at stake in the final game of the regular season against the lowly Charlotte Hornets. It was possible for the Cavs to climb as high as No. 2 in the Eastern Conference playoff picture with a win plus losses from the Bucks and Knicks. Cleveland also knew it would fall to the No. 4 seed with a loss to Charlotte.
The Cavs entered the fourth quarter with an eight-point against the Hornets.

The tickets to go see the Arizona Coyotes host the Edmonton Oilers on Wednesday are outrageously expensive, but not because the team is any good.
Arizona is 35-40-5 on the year (good for 75 points), but they Coyotes have been eliminated from playoff contention for the fourth year in a row. Sure, Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl are coming to town, but other than that, there really isn’t that strong of a selling point for this matchup.

That thing that supposedly never happens …happened again. A trans-identifying male high school student made the podium in two girls’ track and field events over the weekend — and he would have finished almost last in the boys’ events.
Aayden Gallagher took second place in both the girls’ 200-meter and 400-meter at the Sherwood High School Need for Speed Classic in Oregon on April 13. Gallagher finished the 200m in 25.49 seconds and the 400m in 55.61 seconds. He would have finished 61st (out of 65) and 46th (out of 58), respectively, in the boy’s events.

After 40 years of broadcasting The Masters, Verne Lundquist decided to call it a career following this year’s tournament. Two of the most iconic calls in his career came on shots by two of the greatest golfers of all-time: Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods.
Lundquist’s famous Nicklaus call came in 1986 after Nicklaus nailed a birdie putt on the penultimate hole of the tournament. “Yes sir!” Lundquist exclaimed.
Nicklaus won the event by one shot, his sixth and final career Masters victory.

Former New York Mets pitcher Dwight “Doc” Gooden used part of his number retirement ceremony to bash the former ownership of the team.
The four-time All Star and 1985 Cy Young-award winner had his No. 16 retired at Citi Field on a rainy Sunday afternoon. Gooden played for the Mets for 11 years starting in 1984, and was a part of the 1986 World Series team that defeated the Boston Red Sox.
In 1994, New York officially released him, in which he recorded his worst season with the team (3-4 record, 6.31 ERA).

Neal Shipley and Tiger Woods walking Augusta National
Shipley was the only amateur to play the weekend at The Masters and he finished his week alongside Tiger Woods.
Neal Shipley is a graduate student at Ohio State University and qualified for The Masters after coming in second at The 2023 U.S. Amateur Championship.
He was the lone amateur to make the cut at Augusta National, and while he did not play his best, the youngster still won The Masters week.
“Playing with Tiger, Sunday at the Masters, the whole week, I think I have to win one of these things to kind of top this week.

Doubting Tiger Woods has never been a great idea. For well over two decades, downplaying Woods’ abilities and greatness at anytime on any golf course in the world left anyone that did so looking foolish beyond belief.
That version of Tiger Woods, however, the one most wouldn’t ever dare count out, ceases to exist.
He managed to write his own Cinderella story in 2019 when he was able to overcome all adversity and somehow, someway, win the Masters and slip on the green jacket for a fifth time.

UFC fighter Renato Moicano was born in Brazil, but he’s all about American values.
After knocking out Jalin Turner at UFC 300 on Saturday night (his third-consecutive win), Moicano grabbed the mic for an epic victory speech.
“I love America. I love the Constitution. I love the First Amendment,” Moicano told the fans in Las Vegas. “I want to carry and own f-cking guns. I love private property.”
Hell yeah, brother.
And then he gave the crowd some homework — a little reading material.

DeChambeau, the LIV golfer, has played beautifully this week at The Masters and has a shot at his first Green Jacket.
Sunday at The Masters is one of the best days on the sporting calendar every year. There are always so many storylines, and this year is no exception.
One of them, of course, is LIV Golf and its presence near the top of the leaderboard. Bryson DeChambeau, who led the field after Thursday, saved his chances with an epic hole-out on 18 Saturday.
That moved him to within four shots of Scottie Scheffler’s lead entering the final round.
