Elite NCAA tournament coaches don’t come around often, but Arkansas may officially have one in Eric Musselman. The high-energy coach put on perhaps his most impressive performance yet, taking down No. 1 Kansas 72–71 as a No. 8 seed Saturday in an upset that further shook up the NCAA tournament field.
Since Nolan Richardson, the Arkansas program had consistently fallen flat in the Big Dance.

This time they did it with a stunning — and commanding — win over the No. 7 seed Missouri Tigers.
Never count out those Ivy leaguers, man.

The Ivy League champs got the better of their higher-seeded SEC foe on Saturday to become the second consecutive No. 15 seed to advance to the Sweet 16.

Arkansas got hot in the second half and it paid off tremendously, which left Eric Musselman topless following the win. The No. 8 Razorbacks delivered the knockout blow to No.1 Kansas– last year’s national champion — and have secured a spot in the Sweet-Sixteen.
Following the game, Eric Musselman headed straight for the Arkansas section, taking off his shirt and celebrating the upset win with his fans. This isn’t new for Musselman, who has made it a habit of going full Hulkamania following big wins.

Arkansas ended Kansas‘s dreams of repeating as the men’s NCAA tournament champions on Saturday, pulling off a stunning upset of the No. 1 seed in the West region of the bracket. No one was more fired up over the statement win than head coach Eric Musselman.
The Razorbacks coach celebrated with fans by jumping onto the scorers table and removing his shirt while soaking in the victory.

The top seeds are rolling, but so are some double-digit seeds in the first round of the women’s tournament.
While the first day of the NCAA women’s tournament was mostly chalk, the second day of the first round saw its fair share of upsets and comebacks. Much has gone as planned for the top seeds, but the biggest surprises have come from middle-of-the pack teams that have shaken up the bracket a bit.

Another No. 1 seed has fallen in the first week of the men’s NCAA tournament.
In a thrilling round of 32 contest in Des Moines, Iowa, No. 8-seed Arkansas stunned the world Saturday by knocking off defending champion Kansas, 72–71.
The Razorbacks fought their way back from a 35–27 halftime deficit to outscore the Jayhawks 45–36 in the second half in a contest that came down to the wire.
