Purdue had to travel the globe to bury their past forever
GLENDALE, AZ. — The Purdue Boilermakers needed a vacation after suffering one of the most devastating losses in college basketball history. Fortunately, they already had a couple big ones planned.
The Boilermakers boarded a plane to Munich, Germany in early Aug. to shed their skin and begin anew. They played four games against pro teams during their 11 days in Europe, but this wasn’t exactly a business trip. Purdue had to heal before it could get to work.

Diana Taurasi thinks people should dial back expectations when it comes to Caitlin Clark and other top college players going to the WNBA.
Clark and Iowa play South Carolina in the national title game Sunday, and the eyes of the college basketball world will be on the game. It’ll be her final time playing college basketball, and once she’s done, the Iowa phenom will be the first overall pick in the WNBA draft.

The UConn Huskies, defending national champions and the NCAA tournament’s No. 1 overall seed, withstood a test on Saturday night, outlasting the Alabama Crimson Tide to secure a second consecutive berth in the national title game on Monday night.
