Dallas appears to be exploring a possible addition to its frontcourt down the stretch.
The Mavericks are working out veteran forward LaMarcus Aldridge on Tuesday, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, signaling that the franchise is exploring a late-season addition to its frontcourt for the stretch run.
Aldridge, 37, last played for the Nets during the 2021–22 season but went unsigned during free agency last summer. Wojnarowski reports that the seven-time All-Star has been preparing to return to the court for what would be his 17th season in the league.

At the age of 27, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is a two-time Super Bowl champion, a two-time MVP, a two-time All-Pro and a five-time Pro Bowler. This is not normal and in some ways, Mahomes has eclipsed even recently retired quarterback Tom Brady in his career trajectory. At Mahomes’s age, Brady had two rings but just one Pro Bowl trip to his name.

Houston owns +550 odds to go back-to-back despite losing ace Justin Verlander to the Mets. Patrick Mahomes led the Chiefs to their second Super Bowl title in four years Sunday night with a thrilling come-from-behind 38–35 victory over Jalen Hurts and the Eagles.

Philadelphia’s offense ranked third in the NFL in points and yards under Steichen in 2022.
The Colts named Eagles offensive coordinator Shane Steichen as their new coach on Tuesday morning. The team made the announcement on social media.
ESPN reported Sunday that Indianapolis had targeted Steichen for the job, and now it appears he will get his first crack at being a head coach in the NFL. He started his coaching career in the collegiate ranks at Louisville prior to holding several assistant positions in the pros.

Chris Maragos, who played safety for Philadelphia, was rewarded $43.5 million on Monday as part of a medical negligence case.
The ex-Eagles captain sued Dr. James Bradley and Rothman Orthopaedics Institute and walked away a winner. Dr. Bradley performed surgery and oversaw the rehab (along with Rothman Orthopaedics) related to a PCL injury Maragos suffered during the 2017 season.
