It’s that time of year! Players spend Spring Training trying to impress major league coaches. And some make the Opening Day roster, a dream come true. For St. Louis Cardinals top prospect Jordan Walker, that dream officially became reality.
Walker doesn’t turn 21 years old until May, which means he can’t legally drink alcohol with most of his teammates. But if he decides to crack a bottle of champagne, I’m certainly not going to say anything.

The seven-time Cy Young Award winner described what he might do with an 0–2 count under the new rules.
Seven-time Cy Young Award winner Roger Clemens offered his thoughts on what he might do if he’d played with a pitch clock during his MLB career.
The legendary pitcher explained how back when he played during the 1980s and ’90s, managers didn’t ever want to see pitchers give up a base hit on an 0–2 count. With the implementation of the pitch clock this year, Clemens detailed what he would possibly do instead in that situation.
It was a great sign of sportsmanship, and the opposition appreciated it.
South Carolina’s Dawn Staley is revered as one of the best coaches in college basketball, but Saturday she exemplified she’s one of the most honorable as well.
Staley’s squad was blowing out UCLA, 46-30, late in the third quarter when Bruins forward Emily Bessoir was hurt while battling with Gamecocks forward Aliyah Boston for a rebound. Bessoir fell to the ground and began rolling in pain, giving the Gamecocks a five-on-four advantage in transition.

Austin Peay college baseball coach Roland Fanning was well-caffeinated as he made his way off of the field during Saturday’s win over Liberty. The first-year skipper exited the contest, but not before taking a big swig out of his liter of Mountain Dew!
Fanning’s ejection occurred in the bottom of the third inning. Flames slugger Nathan Keeter hit a home run in the bottom of the first inning and celebrated directly toward the opposing dugout as he crossed home plate.
Keeter proceeded to get his tower buzzed in his next at-bat.
It’ll be a contrast in styles as Creighton’s high-flying offense goes up against San Diego State’s stingy defense with a spot in the Final Four on the line.

The Suns have been struggling of late, with six losses it their past eight games, as they try to hold onto the No. 4 seed in the Western Conference. For head coach Monty Williams, frustration boiled over Wednesday night in the form of criticizing officials.
The NBA announced Friday that Williams had been fined $20,000 for his comments about the referees following Phoenix’s 122-111 loss to the Lakers. In that game, Los Angeles widely outdistanced Phoenix in free throw attempts with a 46-20 advantage.
Nothing says “celebrate women’s history” quite like forcing women to celebrate a man.
As part of its Women’s History Month campaign, ESPN ran a minute-long promo Sunday featuring Lia Thomas — a biological male who competed on the women’s swim team at the University of Pennsylvania.
The entire segment paints a picture of Thomas as a pioneer for transgender athletes in Division I sports. It praises Thomas’ persistence and triumph through adversity. And it celebrates Thomas’ championship in the women’s 500 freestyle.
Stars flocked to Twitter to react to the Buckeyes’ historic defeat of the Huskies.
