Let’s just say that Anaheim Ducks player Trevor Zegras may have a bit of a temper problem.
The top-10 pick from the 2019 NHL Draft was quite angry after being given a penalty on Friday night. He proceeded to take his hockey stick and beat the heck out of the penalty box camera until it was destroyed.
Zegras was fuming after he received a four-minute double-minor penalty after physically retaliating against the Seattle Kraken’s Brandon Tanev, who had hit Zegras to the ice.

Luka Doncic had a special message for former Kings GM Vlade Divac for passing on him in the 2018 NBA Draft.
The Sacramento Kings made the biggest NBA Draft blunder of a generation when the team decided to pass on Luka Doncic with the No. 2 overall pick in 2018. The Kings had just hired Igor Kokoškov as their new head coach months after he led Slovenia to a championship in Eurobasket powered by Doncic. For some reason, Sacramento still drafted Duke big man Marvin Bagley III over Luka. It’s a decision that looks worse and worse every year.
Griner re-signed with the franchise that drafted her No. 1 overall and committed to supporting her return home from a Russian prison.
A farting scandal has rocked the UCF softball program to the core, and the PR folks over in Orlando are scrambling to keep this thing afloat.
Oh, you thought you were gonna be able to enjoy your Saturday without more drama in the sports world? Think again.
And if you thought Shohei Ohtani potentially gambling on baseball and Caleb Williams wearing lip-gloss were big deals, wait till you see what’s going on with the Knights.
After their own 1-2 finish in Australia, can Ferrari really put the pressure to Red Bull this season?
We are three races into the Formula 1 season.
While much remains the same from 2024 — Red Bull is leading the Constructors’ Championship and Max Verstappen is atop the Drivers’ standings — recent events have shaken the field up a bit. Mercedes is floundering, McLaren is strong, and Ferrari has certainly closed the gap to Red Bull.
The New York Mets honored a World War 2 veteran ahead of yesterday’s Opening Day game against the Milwaukee Brewers.
That hero’s name?
Seymour Weiner.
… it’s going to be a long season, Mets fans.
Listen, I’m the last person to mock or make fun of our brave men and women that have or continue to serve in our Armed Forces. They did something that the majority of us could never do.
Caleb Williams isn’t a member of a protected class that shields him from criticism, and I’m not going to pretend he should get special treatment.
There’s a very bizarre narrative many like to push that Williams is “just a kid,” and thus, his behavior is somehow excusable and not allowed to be criticized at all. This narrative, yet again, has surfaced after Williams appeared to be wearing pink nail paint and possibly wearing pink lip gloss at a USC women’s basketball game.
I’ve always been fascinated with the 2001 Daytona 500. I know, it seems sort of dark, given what happened to Dale Earnhardt on the final turn of the final lap, but whatever.
Old stuff fascinates me. And yes, 2001 was 23 years ago, so it qualifies as old. Hate to break it to you, but it’s probably time to accept it.
Anyway, I love old stuff. And I really love old NASCAR stuff. When your sole job is to constantly search the internet in 2024 for things to blog about, you often find yourself pining for the old days. The simpler days. The pre-internet, pre-iPhone days.

Let’s rank the teams in the Elite Eight of the 2024 men’s NCAA tournament by who has the best chance to win it all.
The Elite Eight in the 2024 men’s NCAA tournament is set. Three No. 1 seeds are still left standing, but only one No. 2 seed remains after two days of carnage in the Sweet 16. Remember: this was only the fifth time since 1985 all the top-2 seeds reached the regional semifinals.
The surviving eight teams offer something for everyone. No. 11 seed NC State and No. 6 seed Clemson are high-major Cinderellas. No.

The Wolfpack aren’t making the argument you think they’re making.
Watching the euphoria play out inside the NC State locker room Friday night, it was easy to forget that there was a time when the majority of Wolfpack fans were ready to run head coach Kevin Keatts out of town.
That there was a time when NC State was life and death to beat Louisville, arguably the worst power conference team in all of college basketball this season.
