In a team with little structure and direction, Şengün could be the key toward clarity and purpose.
From an offensive perspective, the Houston Rockets are arguably the hardest team to watch and enjoy this season.
Despite the amount of offensive talent they possess, it hasn’t coalesced together to form even a somewhat cohesive picture. Said offensive talent can also be described as extremely young talent; young talent without much veteran guidance (poor Eric Gordon can only do so much by his lonesome) can easily be led astray.
The Eagles QB knew he’d get to this place—MVP candidate for a Super Bowl favorite—just as surely as he knew no one else believed it.
The MVP candidate is everywhere, but while everything is different now, it’s always the same him. His face is blank and expressionless, whether on the mirrors lining a wall in a small space adjacent to the Eagles’ locker room, or on the TV nearby, where he’s building a candidacy no one else expected.

Plus: It’s not ridiculous to say that Nikola Jokic would be deserving of a third-straight MVP.
Yet another memorable nine-game night in the NBA is in the books, one that brimmed with potential playoff previews and outings that will make perfect cornerstone arguments for All-Star campaigns aplenty. Let’s recap the scores.

The night’s one true thriller ended on a note the purists will love.
Los Angeles Chargers head coach Brandon Staley was apparently never sweating his job security.
The Chargers opted to keep Staley after a disappointing first round exit from the playoffs, but OC Joe Lombardi was kicked to the curb. It’s more than fair to wonder whether or not Staley ever worried about his future with the franchise.
Apparently, the answer is not one bit.

The Giants have been underdogs all season, so how can they beat the mighty Eagles? We break down the keys to Saturday’s game.
Michael Vick was among a number of celebrities in attendance for the Virginia Tech-Virginia game on Wednesday night. The former NFL QB was sitting in the front row to watch his Hokies, which ESPN made note of during the broadcast, but then proceeded to make a hilarious mistake with its graphic.
While ESPN was prepared with a graphic for Vick and a note about his time as a Virginia Tech quarterback, the network put the graphic underneath a shot of Dick Bennett, the father of Tony Bennett, the Virginia head coach.
The blunder made for a funny and viral moment during the game.

The NFL calls this weekend’s win-or-go-home games its Divisional Playoffs. From the looks of the teams it should be called something else.
The overcomers tournament.
Bracket of improbables.
The how-are-these-teams-here postseason.
We need a new name for the looming weekend of games because among the eight teams still alive and nurturing Super Bowl hopes are five that, well, have significant cause for not being here at all.
Those five suffered issues that typically crash seasons. All have reasons for failure they could have used as excuses.
And yet, here they are.
Still playing.
The Eagles vs. Doug Pederson or Andy Reid. Stefon Diggs vs. his brother. A Chiefs-49ers rematch or Cowboys vs. Bills for a third time. All are great options.
We are two rounds of playoff games away from Super Bowl LVII in Arizona, and it’s certainly not too early to dream about the matchup—especially if you’re a fan of one of the eight teams still alive.

The Bengals are hurt along the offensive line, but here is why that might not matter
Stop me if you have heard this tale before.
The Cincinnati Bengals are advancing in the playoffs, but they face questions over just how far they can go, due to struggles on the offensive line and whether they can protect quarterback Joe Burrow.
Last year, those struggles were evident in the Bengals’ Divisional Round victory over the Tennessee Titans. Despite the win, Burrow was sacked nine times, a playoff record.
