Dad strength is undefeated. The latest example comes again from the NHL Playoffs courtesy of Boston Bruins defenseman Brandon Carlo.
Carlo remained in Boston for the birth of his second son, Crew, who was born around 3:30 a.m. on Monday morning. After spending several hours with his wife and their newborn, Carlo boarded a flight to Florida and landed just a couple of hours before the start of Game 1 against the Panthers.

Fantasy football isn’t just all about redraft leagues, where managers pick a new team every season. The fantasy world has expanded over the decades, and dynasty leagues are one of if not the most challenging and comprehensive of those expansions. In these formats, you have one main draft (a startup) where you compile a roster that you will keep year after year.
In the seasons that follow, your league will hold yearly rookie-only drafts with the goal of building not only for the present but for the future as well. Younger players are going to hold more value in dynasty leagues.
Fashion’s biggest night had some of the sports world’s biggest stars in attendance on Monday night at the Met Gala.
Sports standouts ranging from the NFL to tennis to Formula 1 walked the carpet in their custom outfits all interpreting the theme “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion” in different ways.
Tennis legends Serena and Venus Williams returned to the Met Gala. At last year’s Met, Serena famously announced her second pregnancy with husband Alexis Ohanian during a carpet interview.
Take a look at all the athletes that went to the 2024 Met Gala.
The NBA’s current media rights deals with Disney and Warner Bros. Discovery expire after the 2024-25 season. The league is in the final stages of agreeing to new deals that would span at least a decade.
The NBA hopes to triple the $24 billion in broadcast revenue it generated from its current deal. In doing so, the league plans to increase its number of partners from two to three.
Those plans are starting to take shape. The NBA has agreed to frameworks with two of three partners – the two being Disney and Amazon. Though we caution, the deals are not finalized.
One of NASCAR’s most recognizable personalities will have two new television homes in 2025.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. will provide commentary for 20 races split evenly between Amazon and TNT next season, the two outlets announced Tuesday morning.
“It is such an exciting time to welcome TNT Sports back to NASCAR,” Earnhardt said in a statement. “I remember watching the races on TNT back in the day, and it’s so nostalgic to see them return to the sport and be a part of their team.”
TNT previously aired NASCAR races from 2001-14, during Earnhardt’s career.
It’s been quite a stretch for Angel Reese. She helped take LSU to the Elite Eight in her final collegiate season, and was picked seventh in the 2024 WNBA Draft by the Chicago Sky. To top it all off, Reese attended Monday night’s Met Gala in a stunning outfit, and everybody was in awe.
The fact that Reese managed to attend at all is pretty remarkable, given she practiced in Chicago earlier that day. The Sky’s season debut is on May 15.
Leo Leclerc was the real winner of the Miami Grand Prix
Lando Norris stormed to the front at last weekend’s Miami Grand Prix, beating Max Verstappen to the checkered flag for the first win of his Formula 1 career. That victory earned the driver praise from around the paddock, and touched off an epic celebration in the paddock at McLaren, one that even rival Team Principal Frederic Vasseur joined in on.
But while most weekends that would make Norris the biggest winner of the weekend, this week’s Miami Grand Prix saw another take the title.
Leo Leclerc.
Patrick Beverley is claiming he was called something he apparently can’t repeat prior to melting down on the bench.
The veteran Milwaukee Bucks guard is being investigated by the NBA after he threw a basketball at multiple fans at the end of an elimination game loss to the Indiana Pacers. He then proceeded to bully a female ESPN reporter.
It was embarrassing and childish behavior. It was initially reported that Beverley was annoyed by fans saying “Cancun on three” at the end of the game.
It’s a clear joke referencing the Bucks being eliminated and headed for vacation.
If the Cleveland Cavaliers were looking for bulletin board material heading into their Eastern Conference semifinal series against the Celtics, all they’d have to do is look at the odds.
Recent NBA betting scandals notwithstanding, it’s clear oddsmakers don’t think the Cavs stand any chance against Boston. In fact, sportsbooks are giving the Cavs a better chance of getting swept than upsetting the top-ranked Celtics, and it’s really not even close.
The Celtics are -3000 to win the series at FanDuel Sportsbook and -1200 to win at DraftKings.
