Buffalo Bills edge rusher Von Miller, enjoying a bit of a career reawakening this season, has been suspended four games by the NFL for violating the league’s personal conduct policy.
“Miller will be eligible for reinstatement on October 28 following the Bills’ Week 8 game against the Seattle Seahawks,” the league said in making the announcement.
That means Miller will miss games against the Texans, Jets, Titans and Seahawks.
This is a setback for Miller because he had collected three sacks in four games playing as Buffalo’s designated pass rusher so far this season.

Speculation about a potential trade reached a new peak on Tuesday when NFL insider Ian Rapoport revealed that Adams had informed the Raiders of his desire to be traded.
After numerous rumors suggesting Adams’ departure, Davante may be close to joining a new team, at last.

According to reports, ex-NFL running back Eddie Lacy has found himself in some trouble after getting arrested after allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol in Arizona.
TMZ Sports reports that Lacy is facing four charges in connection with an incident that occurred on Monday night in Scottsdale.
Police say that the former Green Bay Packer was pulled over around 10:40 pm local time when he was observed committing several moving violations.
The 34-year-old is facing four DUI charges stemming from the incident, including “Extreme DUI — BAC .20 or more.

The Arizona Diamondbacks were the big loser of Monday’s doubleheader between the New York Mets and Atlanta Braves, missing the postseason a year after reaching the World Series. As always when a team with high expectations, there are any number of factors to blame. Injuries, underperformance, bullpen mismanagement, bad luck, trades or free agency signings.
These kinds of disappointing seasons happen every year, yet it’s rare, maybe even unprecedented, to see the team’s owner specifically call out one player as the reason for failure.

To the surprise of no one, the WNBA playoffs didn’t draw very good ratings on Sunday, since Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever were eliminated.
The Connecticut Sun defeated the Fever in the first round, two games to zero in the three-game series. The league obviously continues on from here, but at least half of the fans have already moved on to other things, apparently. 
The New York Liberty defeated the Las Vegas Ace in the first game of their best-of-five second round series. Later, the Sun beat the Minnesota Lynx. 
The Aces-Liberty matchup started at 3 p.m.

Ken Kendrick was not happy with his big free agent signing, and he blamed himself for it.
Jordan Montgomery was one of the best MLB free agents on the market last winter. The veteran starting pitcher was excellent after a mid-season trade to the Texas Rangers, posting a 2.78 ERA in his 11 starts with the club on the way to a World Series championship. The team Texas beat to win the World Series was the Arizona Diamondbacks.
