Ok, let’s not get ahead of ourselves and go crazy with the late-night endings in college football with No.1 Georgia and Colorado winning in their own respective ways.
On a day that saw multiple wild-endings, along with a number of head-scratchers, Saturday night produced two games that should not be over-analyzed too much – Georgia’s razor-thin 13-12 win over Kentucky and Colorado’s “don’t get too excited just yet” 28-9 win over Colorado State.

Instead of dwelling on the playoffs, Patton Kizzire took advantage of the time off and improved his mental game. It has paid off so far.

Arch Manning took over at quarterback for the Texas Longhorns on Saturday against the University of Texas at San Antonio and immediately looked the part.
Starting quarterback Quinn Ewers left the game in the second quarter after running down the field in obvious pain and collapsing after a handoff. Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian described the injury as a “strained abdomen,” though did not specify how much time Ewers would miss.

Gerrit Cole admitted erring when he intentionally walked Rafael Devers with no one on in the fourth, sparking a three-run fourth inning for Boston that the Yankees never recovered from.
After opening with two home games, and winning just one of them, the Texas A&M Aggies dominated Florida 33-20 in Gainesville, Florida, on Saturday for their first SEC win of the season, extending the storyline of the future of Gators coach Billy Napier.
Texas QB Quinn Ewers strained his abdomen during Saturday’s game against UTSA and was ruled out. Touted backup Arch Manning replaced him under center.
