We’ve reached the point of Tiger Woods‘ career where he is appearing on late-night television not to talk about recent accomplishments on the golf course, but to push his new clothing line after his split with Nike.
Woods recently made the media rounds in New York City with appearances on both the ‘Today Show’ and ‘The Tonight Show’ with Jimmy Fallon to talk about Sun Day Red and its launch to the public.

Zalatoris and another heavy hitter withdrew from the CJ CUP Byron Nelson event, which left an very few top rated golfers.
Two of the betting favorites for the CJ CUP Byron Nelson have withdrawn. Will Zalatoris and Sungjae Im will both miss the tournament.
The field for this week’s tournament already lacked star power, but with these two pulled out, it becomes even weaker. Zalatoris came in with the third-best odds to win at 22-1 following a strong T9 performance at The Masters.
1. News broke earlier this week that NBC has offered the NBA $2.5 billion to steal TNT’s (aka, Warner Brothers Discovery) package of games when the current television deals expire after next season.
The “A” package of games are expected to remain on ABC/ESPN, according to Puck senior correspondent, John Ourand, while Amazon is expected to get a “C” package in the new television deals.
Appearing on a brand-new episode of the SI Media With Jimmy Traina podcast, Ourand said despite the monster offer, it’s far from a lock that NBC would get the “B” package from TNT.
Several LIV Golf League players will attempt to make the U.S. Open field via final qualifying next month.
Talor Gooch won’t be one of them.
The top player on LIV Golf in 2023 who won three times and captured the season-long points race said during a news conference in Singapore on Thursday that he would not be taking part.
He did not give a reason.
Gooch appeared alongside Smash GC teammates Brooks Koepka, Graeme McDowell and Jason Kokrak, and they were all asked if they would attempt to qualify for the U.S. Open, which will conduct 36-hole qualifiers around the country on May 3.
USGA CEO Mike Whan wants any golfer who’s good enough to qualify to compete in the U.S. Open.
Yes, that includes everyone from LIV Golf.
Per U.S. Open tradition, players not exempt into the field must earn their spot through qualifying events. Anyone with a USGA Handicap Index of 0.4 or less can enter a local qualifier, advance to a 36-hole regional event and earn a spot. (Many top pros not already in the U.S. Open field are exempt from local qualifying and only need to advance via a 36-hole event.) Since 2004, the U.S. Open field has averaged 74.
With his PGA Championship title defense looming, Brooks Koepka is searching for the game that saw him win a fifth major championship last year at Oak Hill Country Club.
He didn’t sound extremely confident during a news conference Thursday in advance of the LIV Golf Singapore event, which begins Friday morning (9:15 p.m. ET Thursday).
“Clearly not very good,” Koepka said when asked how his game was trending in advance of the PGA at Valhalla, which begins May 16. “With Augusta the way that it went, I kind of felt like I wasted all the time from December until then.
The May 1 deadline to enter the transfer portal has come and gone.
Something like 1,900 players entered their names in the portal this spring, a number that should be just about done rising. While some big names like Johnell Davis (Arkansas Razorbacks), Oumar Ballo (Indiana Hoosiers) and AJ Storr (Kansas Jayhawks) are already off the board, around half of the players who’ve entered still haven’t found new homes.
Who are the biggest names still out there? Here’s a look at the 20 best uncommitted transfers.

Speaking with the media ahead of the Miami Grand Prix, Nico Hülkenberg discussed his future move to Sauber
MIAMI — The 2024 Formula 1 season is just a few races in, and the Miami Grand Prix is yet to get underway.
But one of the major storylines in Miami this week continues to be the upcoming driver transfer market, which will set the grid for 2025 and beyond.
The latest big move? The announcement from Nico Hülkenberg that at the end of this season with Haas, he will move to Sauber for the 2025 campaign and beyond.
On March 8, Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts indicated that Mookie Betts’s move to shortstop in spring training was “permanent, for now.”
Now, it doesn’t seem out of the realm of possibility that Betts’s move will be “permanent, forever.”
Roberts heaped praise on Betts for his play at shortstop so far after the Dodgers’ 8-0 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks Wednesday.
“Right now, where (Betts) is at, I certainly think he’s playing an above average shortstop,” Roberts said. “I’d grade him out a solid B+.
The chemo port is hidden beneath three layers of shirts and peals of laughter. Larry Demeritte is having far too much fun these days to waste precious time worrying about the cancer assailing his body. There is a dream horse to train, a dream race to run, a late-career climax to soak up.
Demeritte is flashing toothy smiles and telling jokes outside Barn 42 at Churchill Downs, the happiest man in racing’s happiest place this time of year. It’s the last Saturday in April, which means we’re approaching the first Saturday in May, the high holy day in American thoroughbred racing.
