Washington Nationals pitcher Trevor Williams was one of the few voices in Major League Baseball to publicly speak out against the Los Angeles Dodgers honoring the “Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence” at their LGBTQ+ night in 2023.
The group, which mocks Catholics and the Christian religion by having men dress up as nuns, was a controversial selection that put unnecessary negative attention on the Dodgers organization. After initially rescinding the invitation, the team caved to the far left and brought them to Dodger Stadium…though they buried the award hours before first pitch.

On Thursday, ESPN informed MLB that it would opt out of the final three years of its $550 million annual rights agreement after this year, setting a breakup date ahead of the 2026 season.

As in any divorce, outsiders have since tried to determine a winner. Ultimately, it could take a decade to learn who was better off without the other. But in the meantime, both sides look like losers.

Maine Gov. Janet Mills picked a fight with President Donald Trump over her decision to let men compete in women’s sports, and it didn’t go over well for Mills.
At a governor’s meeting at the White House on Friday, Trump was discussing all the sports governing bodies that were complying with his executive order to keep men out of women’s sports. He noted that while the NCAA has complied with the order to his satisfaction, Mills has spitefully continued to let men take away awards and opportunities from women.

17-year-old Blades Brown is off to a decent start at the Mexico Open and achieved a career first in the process.
Blades Brown has made the cut at a PGA Tour event for the first time as a professional.
The 17-year-old from Nashville, Tennessee, fired a 3-under 68 on Thursday and a 2-under 69 on Friday to finish at 5-under overall, good enough to make the weekend at the Mexico Open.
“I‘m so relieved,” Brown said after.
