Kirk Cousins already won the NFL offseason by finalizing a massive four-year, $180 million deal with the Atlanta Falcons on Wednesday.
The 36-year-old QB spent the past six seasons with the Minnesota Vikings and had his 2023 come to an abrupt end with an Achilles injury in Week 8 against the Green Bay Packers.
The Falcons have been desperate for a QB since saying goodbye to Matt Ryan two years ago. Now they have their guy, and they’re already having some fun with him.
The team shared this goofy photo of Cousins on Wednesday, and it instantly became a meme.

It’s NFL Draft season! Last month, I published my first mock draft of the season. Now that free agency is in full swing and the scouting combine is in the rearview mirror, it’s a good time to revisit the NFL Draft board. Team needs are more in focus and the players that are rising up the draft boards are also starting to become more clear.
Agree or disagree with our Mock Draft? What do you think or hope your team should or will do in the first round of the NFL Draft? Shoot Dan an email: dan.zaksheske@outkick.
Miami Heat star center Bam Adebayo recorded the easiest steal that basketball fans will ever see during garbage time in Wednesday night’s 100–88 home loss to the Denver Nuggets at the Kaseya Center.
With the Nuggets up 12 and the game well in hand with less than 10 seconds to go, Denver star Nikola Jokić dropped the ball and shook hands with Adebayo before embracing him with a hug. Jokić then walked over to Heat guard Terry Rozier to shake hands with him, leaving the basketball behind.
The Tennessee Titans made a big free-agent splash on Wednesday, signing Calvin Ridley to a four-year, $92 million contract that includes $50 million guaranteed. The move was a bit of a surprise, as reports suggested Ridley was either going to stay with the Jacksonville Jaguars or sign a deal with the New England Patriots. This acquisition has a domino “fantasy” effect for both the Titans and Jaguars.
Let’s start things off with Ridley’s new team, the Titans, who have also signed Tony Pollard to an offense that will have a very new look under new head coach Brian Callahan.

The total value of Rodgers’ contracts that he agreed to have totaled around $63.5 million, $110 million, $134 million and $150.8 million, according to Spotrac. He restructured his current contract with the New York Jets that earned him a base salary of about $1.8 million in 2023 and $3.1 million in 2024.
But should the impossible happen, Rodgers could be looking at a steep pay cut come Inauguration Day 2025.

Lexi Thompson at Panther National for Maxfli photo shoot
Thompson is partnering with Maxfli and looking to continue elevating the women’s game while giving back.
Lexi Thompson is one of the faces of the LPGA and women’s golf, and for good reason. She is one of the more talented women we have ever seen on tour. Thompson has 15 career professional victories, 11 of which have come on the LPGA Tour, including a major win at the 2014 Kraft Nabisco Championship.
But that is hardly the only reason why she is a key figure helping drive popularity in women’s golf.

NFL running backs continue to lag behind in contracts and salary
In 2023, the NFL saw only one running back sign a significant long-term deal, and he had to hold out to get that money. Already in 2024, we have seen several multi-year deals with averages over $10 million per season and guaranteed money in the tens of millions. Does that mean it’s the return of the back? Are running back contracts rebounding?
Not exactly.
In 2023, the move was to franchise tag running backs around the NFL.
Thanks in part to Iowa Hawkeyes superstar Caitlin Clark, women’s college basketball has reached its peak of popularity this year, For that reason, more eyes than ever will be fixed on the NCAA women’s tournament, set to begin next week.
The South Carolina Gamecocks are the heavy favorites to win the national championship, which would cap an undefeated season.
Coach Dawn Staley’s team has had an historic run, going a perfect 32-0. They completed the sweep last weekend when they defeated the LSU Tigers for the SEC title. That victory did not come without a bit of drama, however.
Kirby Smart believes recruits are more focused on NIL than making the NFL.
There’s been plenty of warnings about the state of college football, and former Alabama coach Nick Saban seems to be spearheading the effort to tap the brakes on the current system.
What was supposed to be about players making money off autographs and marketing deals has turned into the wild west.
You can now add Kirby Smart to the list of people who think priorities might not be in order.
In fact, he thinks young recruits are more focused on NIL when they should be focused on making the NFL.
