The NBA announced Sunday that it suspended Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler for one game due to his role in a benches-clearing brawl on Friday night.
Butler appeared to cleverly respond on social media within the hour.
The 34-year-old forward posted three screenshots of songs he listened to on Spotify after receiving the news. The playlist: “Locked Up” by Akon, “Jail” by Kanye West and “Life” by K-Ci and JoJo.

Draymond Green would get in so much less trouble if he could just learn to shut his mouth.
The Golden State Warriors and Charlotte Hornets faced off Friday, with the Warriors winning 97-84. But in the waning seconds of the game, a wild scuffle broke out after Hornets forward Miles Bridges took exception to Lester Quinones attempting a layup with the game in hand.
Shortly after the game ended, reporters asked what he made of Bridges getting a little extra confrontational at the end.

Iowa superstar guard Caitlin Clark needs 51 points to break Pistol Pete Maravich’s NCAA all-time career-scoring record of 3,667 points set in three seasons from 1967-70 for LSU. Freshmen were not eligible at the time.
Clark has 3,617 in her fourth season after scoring 24 points in No. 4 Iowa’s 101-85 win over Illinois on Sunday afternoon in front of 14,998 at Carver-Hawkeye Arena in Iowa City.
Clark and Iowa coach Lisa Bluder must not be too worried about breaking the record. Clark sat out the final 2:55 of the game.

Rick Pitino made waves Sunday afternoon by debuting a new all-white suit to participate in the St. John’s fan “whiteout” for the Red Storm’s matchup against Big East foe Creighton.

Five NBA players received suspensions Sunday — stemming from a Friday night skirmish between the Heat and Pelicans where a New Orleans player grabbed Jimmy Butler by the throat, leading to a spree of shoves, F-Bombs, and even some punching.
Butler, Naji Marshall, Jose Alvarado, Thomas Bryant and Nikola Jović all received suspensions for their roles in the prime-time showdown, handed down by NBA Executive Vice President Joe Dumars. The missed games are expected to be without pay.
Four players — Butler, Marshall, Alvarado, Bryant — were ejectedFriday as part of the unhinged quarrel.

Several former NFL players have ventured into combat sports following their football careers. Adrian Peterson and Le’Veon Bell both tried boxing, with Bell still “trying” to box. What about a current NFL player? Miami Dolphins receiver Tyreek Hill wants to try his hand and has his opponent in mind: Jake Paul.
During an episode of the “Full Tilted” podcast, Hill said he wants to meet UFC president Dana White.
“I want to get in the cage,” Hill said before adding: “I want to get in the cage, or I want to box.

Fans couldn’t believe their eyes.

For the first time since 1974, Bill Belichick won’t be on an NFL sideline this season. But according to his son Steve, the 71-year-old doesn’t want to be completely removed from football.
In an appearance on the Green Light with Chris Long podcast, Steve discussed his father’s life after the New England Patriots. Long came right out and asked Steve, “Is he OK?”
“I think he’s good, you know?” Steve replied. “Let the stuff roll off your back and move forward.

Caitlin Clark has left her mark on the University of Iowa women’s basketball program—literally and figuratively.
Clark has won the Wooden, Naismith and Associated Press Player of the Year Awards, led the Hawkeyes to the national championship game last season and became the NCAA’s all-time leading scorer earlier this month.
In short, Clark, a senior, is not only in the conversation of best players in Iowa program history, but also in NCAA history.
It’s no wonder, then, that the Hawkeyes found a way to honor the West Des Moines, Ia.
