The former first-round pick has been productive but rarely healthy.
The defending NFC champions’ offense—already stellar—will reportedly add an intriguing new piece.
The Eagles have agreed to a contract with running back Rashaad Penny, according to a Tuesday afternoon report from ESPN’s Ian Rapoport.
Penny has played his entire career to date with the Seahawks, who drafted him with the No. 27 pick out of San Diego State in 2018. With the Aztecs, he rushed for 3,656 yards and ran back seven kicks for touchdowns, an FBS record.

The Indianapolis Colts finally made a big move in free agency! They even set a new record! Hey, it costs money to bring in game-breaking talent.
Which is exactly what the Colts did by signing … Mat Gay. Kicker, Matt Gay.
The #Colts are signing kicker Matt Gay to a four-year, $22.5 million deal. Biggest ever deal for a kicker in free agency and most money over three years for a kicker on the deal negotiated by @davidcanter and @NessMugrabi https://t.
Auburn freshman Yohan Traore is not opting out of the NCAA Tournament. He and his “mentor” want to make that clear, which is a very funny thing to have to come out and say.
On late Monday evening, a Twitter account by the tag ‘@conway__vinny’ tweeted out what he labeled as ‘BREAKING.’ However, Vinny changed his Twitter name from ‘March Vinny’ to ‘AUBURN LIVE 247,’ which is the local Tigers affiliate for 247 Sports. Vinny also changed his Twitter profile picture to a vintage Auburn logo.
The “news” was rather unexpected.
The point guard has played the last two seasons in the G League.
Scoot Henderson, the point guard for the G League Ignite and projected top prospect in the draft, will be shut down for the rest of the season, ESPN’s Jonathan Givony reports. Henderson already missed Ignite’s most recent game vs. the Texas Legends.
In 2021, Henderson signed a two-year deal to join the G League instead of playing for a college to prepare for the NBA. He was a top 10 high school prospect when he made his decision, knowing that he would not be eligible to enter the NBA until this year.
The wide receiver spent the entire 2022 season as a free agent.
Maybe Odell Beckham Jr. will head to the Jets just as quarterback Aaron Rodgers hopes.
The Packers quarterback’s “wish list” of players he would want on the Jets, if he decides to make a move to New York via trade, was reported on Tuesday. It includes three of his Packers teammates as well as star free agent Beckham.
The wide receiver reacted a tweet about the rumor by former Jets, Giants and Packers player Damon Harrison with a simple eyes emoji. It certainly looks like a signing could be something to look out for.
Philadelphia added a new playmaker to their backfield by signing veteran rusher and big play threat Rashaad Penny.
The Eagles have taken a flier on former Seahawks running back Rashaad Penny, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport. It doesn’t seem to be a huge fantasy move (and maybe it won’t be), but anyone who could be the starting running back for the Eagles is worth at least a mention. And with Miles Sanders a free agent, Penny is interesting.
At least for now.
Penny has averaged 6.2 yards per attempt over the last two years.
Aaron Rodgers is driving the entire sports world crazy, but nobody is letting the quarterback’s decision affect them more than Mike Greenberg. The ESPN host is a diehard New York Jets fan, but based on updates from his wife, Greenberg seems to be struggling to function as a human being waiting for the Rodgers announcement.
While his Jets’ fandom is a little over the top given that he mentions it just about every time he’s on television, I’m not about to knock a man for being a diehard fan of a team.
The Giants added a new playmaker to Daniel Jones’ arsenal by trading for tight end Darren Waller.
The Giants and Raiders have agreed on a huge trade that sends Darren Waller to the Big Apple, according to published reports. Las Vegas will get the compensatory third-round pick the Giants received in the Kadarius Toney trade in return for the 30-year-old tight end, and Waller gets a new start in New York.
The trade is a good one for Waller, as the Giants lack big-time playmakers in the passing game.
The New York Giants have just essentially traded Kadarius Toney for Darren Waller.
The Giants are sending the third-round pick they acquired in sending Toney to the Kansas City Chiefs (No. 100 overall) to the Raiders for Waller.
And this seems a crazy good trade for the Giants.
Waller, 30, is easily one of the top pass-catching tight ends in the NFL and will add speed to the Giants offense and a potential security blanket for quarterback Daniel Jones, in whom the Giants just invested a $40 million per year long term deal.
I like trade for the Giants. Tight ends are a major matchup problem.

Waller signed a three-year, $51 million extension with the Raiders last offseason and could possibly want more money.
