Matt Wallace joined NBC’s broadcast for a ‘walk-and-talk’ conversation and showed tremendous poise during the interview.
Television executives and PGA Tour brass should encourage more players to join golf broadcasts for their ‘Walk-and-Talk’ interviews, which have become a staple on weekend telecasts.

A pair of ESPN college basketball commentators held a surprisingly intelligent conversation about the number of black coaches in the ACC.
During today’s game between North Carolina and Virginia, Cory Alexander and Dave O’Brien analyzed a graphic that appeared on the broadcast. The title of this graphic was “ACC Head Coaches Who Happen To Be Black.”
No one would blame you for thinking you’re about to hear a lecture about how more black coaches mean we’ve at long last defeated racism.

Former NFL cornerback and current Thursday Night Football analyst Richard Sherman was arrested for DUI in King County, Washington.
Sherman was booked at 4:51 am local time on Saturday morning at King County Correctional Facility, according to Sports Illustrated‘s review of the booking information. Washington State Patrol took Sherman into custody on the DUI charge.
This is the second time in two-and-a-half years that Sherman has been arrested for a driving-related violation.

College sports leaders have made half-hearted attempts for years to get their arms around court and field storms. It’s time to do better, time to do more.
The latest call for action came from Duke Blue Devils men’s basketball coach Jon Scheyer on Saturday afternoon, after a loss at the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. Scheyer saw his best player and likely NBA draft lottery pick, big man Kyle Filipowski, suffer what the coach said was a sprained ankle during a scary-fast court storming by Demon Deacons fans. (Filipowski later reportedly said it was a knee injury.

Duke star Kyle Filipowski suffered an ankle injury on Saturday after Wake Forest fans rushed the court following the Demon Deacons’ 83-79 upset over the Blue Devils in Winston-Salem.
Fans stormed the floor immediately as the buzzer sounded, and Filipowski got tangled up with someone around mid-court. Teammates rushed to assist him and attempted to clear a path for the 7-foot center as he hobbled on one leg toward the locker room.
A closer angle shows Filipowski colliding with a fan then bouncing off several other court stormers before a staffer runs in to catch him.

Wake Forest’s 83-79 upset of No. 8 Duke Saturday afternoon should’ve been a heartwarming moment for college basketball writ large—a landmark win for a once-proud program gunning for its first NCAA tournament appearance since 2017.
Instead, it became a national story for all the wrong reasons. Blue Devils center Kyle Filipowski was hit as Demon Deacons fans stormed the court after the victory and sprained his ankle, leading Duke coach Jon Scheyer to call for a ban on the celebratory practice.
After the game, Filipowski addressed the incident with WFMY-TV in Greensboro, N.C.
