Philadelphia’s star right tackle did not practice at all this week ahead of next Sunday’s Super Bowl LVII.
Eagles standout right tackle Lane Johnson may have been absent from practice this week with a lingering groin injury, but he made clear that he intends to be on the field in next Sunday’s Super Bowl.

Out with Columbus, in with Goodell.
A number of candidates to replace Columbus Day on American states’ and cities’ holiday calendars have sprung up in recent years. One suggestion, however, is particularly friendly to sports fans.
This week, two Tennessee state legislators — Sen. London Lamar (D-Memphis) and Rep. Joe Towns Jr. (D-Memphis) — introduced language that would replace the Volunteer State’s Columbus Day holiday with a new holiday the first Monday after the Super Bowl, and would enshrine the change in state law.

When Clemson football won the 2011 ACC championship—the program’s first in 20 years—Dabo Swinney recalls 5,000 fans waiting for the Tigers outside of Memorial Stadium to greet the team.

The arrival of Steve Cohen, who purchased the team in 2020, rapidly changed that reputation.
Instead of being bullied by the neighboring New York Yankees, the Mets have become the league’s highest spending frenchise.
MLB owners have steadfastly avoided the 90% top luxury tax penalty. Other than Cohen.
That top bracket has even been nicknamed the “Steve Cohen tax.

Take those Chick-fil-A chicken sandwiches and waffle fries and shove em up your ass! Those are the words of Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo. Well, not really. But, he is switching allegiances from the Eat-Mor-Chikin spot to another fast food joint, Culver’s.
And for good reason.
See, Chick-fil-A did the Greek Freak dirty. After he led Milwaukee to an NBA championship in 2021, Giannis went viral (to be fair, he was already viral, but you get it) for hitting Chick-fil-A and ordering a 50 piece chicken minis.
