The Russell Wilson era with the Denver Broncos is over with the news that the team will release him when the NFL’s new league year begins. Now, one former Broncos star didn’t let him leave without offering some criticism.
Coupled with Denver’s decision to trade wide receiver Jerry Jeudy to the Cleveland Browns on Saturday in exchange for draft picks, the Broncos appear to be embarking on a serious overhaul.

A massive scuffle broke out in the final minutes of the SEC women’s basketball title game between LSU and South Carolina, and nearly everyone got involved in the fight.
Everyone, that is, except Angel Reese.
When Kamilla Cardoso shoved Flau’jae Johnson at mid-court late in the fourth quarter, all heck broke loose. Both benches emptied, and even Johnson’s brother came from the stands, came over the barrier, and tried to help his sister.
But Reese couldn’t be bothered to join, not one bit.
Fox Sports 1’s Emmanuel Acho retweeted footage of the game just as the scuffle began.
Utah State coach Kayla Ard announced in the most awkward way possible she’d lost her job.
The Aggies women’s basketball team finished the season with a 5-25 record after losing in the Mountain West tournament 85-49 Boise State.
It was the final game in what was a truly horrific season for Utah State. How does Ard plan on rebuilding? Well, she was asked that exact question after the loss, and gave basketball fans a painfully awkward answer that won’t be forgotten at any point in the near future.
“I’m not going to be rebuilding.

Let’s keep track of every signing of 2024 NFL free agency
That sound you hear is the entire NFL world waiting on a major announcement.
From Kirk Cousins.
The NFL’s free agency period begins on Monday with the start of the “legal tampering period.” While deals cannot become official until the league year opens on Wednesday afternoon, meaning things technically could change, we are going to learn over the course of the next few days more about each NFL team, and their rosters for next season.
Women’s college basketball fans and observers couldn’t help but notice that LSU star Angel Reese seemingly went out of her way to not get involved in a scuffle that broke out between the Tigers and South Carolina during the SEC tournament championship game Sunday afternoon in Greenville, S.C.
Reese walked away from the fracas as players from both teams engaged in a shoving match with 2:08 left. After the game, Reese took to X, formerly Twitter, to explain why she decided to walk away from the situation.
The Chicago Bears’ quest for a new stadium has taken another turn. The team has scrapped its plans to build facilities in the suburbs and plans to stay in the city at a new domed lakefront venue immediately south of Soldier Field, according to multiple reports.
Trevor Bauer pitched against professional hitters in the United States for the first time in nearly three years over the weekend with the outing just so happening to come against members of his former team, the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Bauer took the mound for a Japanese tryout team called the Asian Breeze. He showed that he still very much has a live arm. His fastball reportedly touched 99 mph several times while recording four strikeouts against 12 batters.
Not only did Bauer make it clear that he still has his heater, but he showed that he’s not lacking any confidence either.
Look, they’re not all gonna be winners, right? The NASCAR season has like a billion races and weeks in it, so to expect every single one to be a home run is a little unfair.
Every once in a while, you’re gonna see a single. Maybe a double down off the wall if you’re lucky. You’ll most definitely get some punchouts (looking at you, New Hampshire).
Phoenix wasn’t that, but it also wasn’t NASCAR’s best. It was fine. The restarts were cool, as they tend to be around there.
The New England Patriots put an end to the Mac Jones era on Sunday, trading the quarterback to the Jacksonville Jaguars for a sixth-round pick, per a report by ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The Patriots selected Jones, a former Alabama star, with the No. 15 pick in the 2021 NFL draft with hopes that he would become their next franchise QB. Instead, he struggled the past two years after a decent rookie season and now presumably will back up Trevor Lawrence in Jacksonville.
The Patriots announced the news in an awkward tweet Sunday.
The Chicago Bears plan to build a new domed stadium south of Soldier Field, according to reports.
The franchise intends to invest $2 billion in the publicly owned domed stadium and park space that would feature year-round community amenities. The domed stadium would allow Chicago to bid to host events such as Super Bowls and NCAA Final Fours.
“The Chicago Bears are proud to contribute over $2 billion to build a stadium and improve open spaces for all families, fans and the general public to enjoy in the City of Chicago,” Bears president and CEO Kevin Warren said in a statement.
