Kirk Herbstreit seems interested in negotiating a ceasefire with Florida State fans.
The ESPN pundit was one of the loudest voices for keeping the Seminoles out of the playoff. He often argued the goal is to put the four best teams in the field, and that meant there was no room for the ACC champs, especially after Travis Jordan suffered a season-ending injury.
That led to FSU fans viewing him as Public Enemy No. 1 in the college football world. A war erupted between the two sides, and it certainly doesn’t seem to have calmed down on the FSU side since the season ended.

Stanford basketball star Cameron Brink appeared to exchange some words with a ref Sunday.
The Cardinal beat Iowa State in OT 87-81 Sunday, and the team’s star forward fouled out with eight points and eight rebounds with a couple minutes left in regulation.
Brink was picked up on the broadcast appearing to say something to the ref as she left the court. What did she say? I’m not a lip-reading expert, but it certainly seemed to be “f*ck you,” according to observers on the internet.

Promoters of the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix were likely elated when Daniel Ricciardo returned to the grid in the middle of the 2023 season. After missing the 2023 Miami race, that put one of the sport’s most popular drivers on track to return to Miami for the 2024 event.

After four days, the tournament is now left with 16 teams who all believe they have what it takes to break into the Final Four.

Trevor Bauer showed us, again, that he’s ready for another shot at the majors after slinging it at an exhibition game in Mexico versus the New York Yankees.

The Nations League final between the USMNT and Mexico was halted by the referee after Mexico supporters were heard shouting a homophobic slur late in the contest. It isn’t the first time Mexico fans had an embarrassing impact on a match against the U.S. as a similar scenario unfolded during their CONCACAF Nations League semifinals in June 2023.
With the USMNT leading its rival 2-0 in the final few minutes of Sunday’s clash at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, fans could be heard chanting ‘puto.

Connor Essegian’s time in Madison is over.
The Wisconsin Badgers were bounced in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament by JMU in humiliating fashion, and fans are in open revolt against coach Greg Gard and the state of the program.
The team’s last Sweet 16 appearance came in 2017. A program that once only knew winning now struggles to remain relevant among the country’s best.
Well, when it rains it pours because the once-promising guard is leaving the team.
Essegian blew up on the scene out of nowhere last season and was one of the best young guards in the Big Ten.
