The Olympics are Paris-bound this year, and as per usual, the Olympic torch has to make its way from Greece, the birthplace of the Olympics, and around the world to the host city.
However, the Games hit a bit of a snafu with the torch lighting and it was all thanks to some cloud cover.
I’m not sure how I thought they lit the Olympic torch. I never really thought about it until now. If I had to wager a guess, I would’ve thought someone used one of those long-neck lighters that you use when the starter on your grill breaks.
But no, they go for a much more Vegas-y approach.

Ahead of the RBC Heritage in South Carolina, Rory McIlroy eliminated any clutter surrounding a potential move to LIV Golf.
After tying for 22nd at the Masters Tournament, Rory McIlroy arrived in Hilton Head, South Carolina, with rumors swirling.
A report on Monday indicated that McIlroy would jump to LIV Golf for an astonishing $850 million. He would also receive a 2% equity stake in the circuit.
But that rumor proved to be false, confirmed by McIlroy himself.

People are incomprehensible. A basketball play is a simple thing, with simple objectives. You draw up a plan and you execute. You teach fundamentals, principles that will guide you when the play doesn’t work the way it’s supposed to, because people rarely do what they’re supposed to for any number of irritating reasons.
A half-marathon in Beijing is at the center of controversy after it looked like three runners from Kenya and Ethiopia threw out their anchors to let a guy on the Chinese marathon team take the lead within sight of the finish line.
The race happened over the weekend, but clips of the finish made the social media rounds Monday. It sure looks like Robert Keter and Willy Mnangat of Kenya and Dejene Hailu of Ethiopia eased off the gas so that China’s He Jie could win the race with a margin of victory of around a second, according to Hong Kong Free Press.
Rory McIlroy isn’t going anywhere.
A day after London-based financial paper City AM cited two unnamed sources who “believed a deal is close” for him to make a move to LIV Golf for $850 million and two percent of the circuit, McIlroy completely shut down the rumors.
Speaking with Todd Lewis of Golf Channel ahead of this week’s RBC Heritage, McIlroy pledged his allegiance to the PGA Tour, and not only for the time being, but for the rest of his professional career, while explaining he had no idea where the rumors and reports originated from.
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Jalen Milroe didn’t come right out and say anything bad about former Alabama offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Tommy Rees and former head coach Nick Saban.
But if you listened closely and measured his words, it was clear. Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe’s praise of new head coach Kalen DeBoer, who has the best offensive mind at Alabama since Lane Kiffin, and new offensive coordinator/QBs coach Nick Sheridan doubled as daggers to his former coaches Saturday after the spring game.
Colorado had several linemen with starting experience enter the NCAA transfer portal Tuesday, including right tackle Savion Washington, who started nine games.
The executor of the O.J. Simpson estate reversed his stance on working to prevent a payout of a $33.5 million judgment awarded by a jury to the Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman families in a wrongful death lawsuit.
