Reggie Bush, the day after having his Heisman Trophy reinstated, released his TravisMathew collection.
Wednesday, Reggie Bush received some of the best news he has likely heard in quite some time. Bush’s Heisman Trophy from his record-setting 2005 season at USC had been reinstated.
One day later, he was at the TravisMathew store in Century City, CA launching his collection.
The timing could not possibly have been more impeccable.
But as TravisMathew CEO Ryan Ellis said to Playing Through in an exclusive, “When you prepare, you get lucky.

Nearly two years after his last major league start, Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Walker Buehler returns from the IL tonight. He is slated for a two-step this week.
That’s right. Buehler is a two-start pitcher, meaning for those who set weekly roto lineups, the potential upside is enormous but not without risk.
If you’ve been stashing him on your IL, you’re no doubt eager to slot him back into the rotation.

Pendrith won his first PGA Tour event and to celebrate, one of his best friends and fellow pro showered him with beer.
Taylor Pendrith finally won his first PGA Tour event Sunday at the CJ CUP Byron Nelson after 74 professional starts.
As he came down the stretch, his former Kent State teammate and fellow Canadian, Mackenzie Hughes, carried around three beers, ensuring he did not miss the winning moment.
The PGA Tour social team followed him as he dipped under the ropes on the 18th green, waiting for his friend to finish.
There’s a new sponsor in the world of college football bowls: Snoop Dogg.
The legendary rapper’s name will now be seen everywhere in bowl season as the unveiling of the new Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl presented by Gin & Juice by Dre and Snoop was announced on Monday, via Yahoo! Sports‘ Ross Dellenger. This is the first time a celebrity’s name has graced the title of a bowl game.
Dr. Dre and Snoop’s alcohol brand is now the first alcoholic company to sponsor a college football bowl. Gin & Juice will likely be sold at the game since bowl games allow alcohol sales.
One of the longest-serving coaches in NHL history is calling it a career after nearly 40 years behind the bench.
Winnipeg Jets coach Rick Bowness announced Monday that he is retiring after 38 years as an NHL coach.
Bowness, 69, played in the NHL for parts of six seasons and got his start coaching as a player-coach with the Sherbrooke Jets, Winnipeg’s AHL affiliate at the time, in 1982. After retiring as a player in ’84, he joined the Jets’ NHL coaching staff as an assistant.
Bowness served as a coach for a total of 2,726 NHL games, the most in the history of the league.
For two decades he built an NFL dynasty that won six Super Bowls and was both the envy of and template for other teams. In that time, Bill Belichick adopted the persona of an unfriendly, off-putting, perhaps even contemptible, grouch.
Belichick as an unsympathetic figure, even with some of his players, became what practically everyone outside New England saw and believed was true.
Chris Buescher ended up on the wrong side of history at the Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, Kan. on Sunday, as the AdventHealth 400 resulted in the closest photo finish in NASCAR Cup Series history just a day after the thrilling result of the Kentucky Derby. Kyle Larson edged out Buescher by 0.001 seconds in a memorable finish that saw Larson’s No. 5 Chevrolet and Buescher’s No. 17 Ford bang doors a couple of times before the finish line.
Buescher was in disbelief.
“I don’t know what to say right now,” Buescher said.
Juan Soto broke a 2-2 tie with a three-run double as the New York Yankees completed a three-game sweep over the Detroit Tigers on Sunday. The slugger’s first month-plus in the Bronx has gone great as he continues to look like one of the best offensive players in baseball.
Soto currently leads the American League in OPS+ and sports an ridiculous .421 on-base percentage. He’s second in RBI and would probably have significantly more if he wasn’t so committed to accepting walks.
ESPN NHL analyst Ray Ferraro spent 18 seasons playing in the NHL for six different franchises. He appeared in the playoffs in half of those seasons. Yet, it seemed like he had only just figured out how the playoffs work on Sunday during the first game of the Eastern Conference semifinal between the New York Rangers and Carolina Hurricanes.
Late in the game, ESPN showed a graphic of the NHL playoffs bracket. This was prior to Game 7 between the Dallas Stars and the Vegas Golden Knights, so there were nine teams still alive at the time. The Stars ultimately eliminated the Knights in overtime.
