Former Alabama basketball player Darius Miles was formally indicted on capital murder charges by a Tuscaloosa County Grand Jury on Friday in connection with a Jan.

Jordan Spieth figured he would be the latest to pay the price at the TPC Sawgrass on a day of big numbers. Instead, he got a break he never imagined Friday at The Players Championship. Not everyone so lucky, least of all Max McGreevy, who needed a birdie on the final hole just to break 90.

The star cornerback could reportedly be on his way out of Philadelphia after the club reportedly gave him permission to seek a trade.
In the aftermath of the Eagles reportedly giving Darius Slay permission to seek a trade, the news of the star cornerback’s sudden availability has apparently caught the eye of one his closest former teammates, Seahawks safety Quandre Diggs.

Steve Weisfeld is one of only a few hundred licensed boxing judges in the United States. The job is an unglamorous, but critical, part of the sport.
Steve Weisfeld can trace his interest in boxing judging to the day: Jan. 24, 1976. It was the day his grandmother, Dora, passed away. Also that day: George Foreman, in his first fight after losing his heavyweight titles to Muhammad Ali, faced Ron Lyle. Weisfeld’s family, grieving, watched Foreman pick up a fifth-round knockout. They enjoyed the action. A 10-year-old Weisfeld wondered how it was being scored.

Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons is no stranger to a good social media trolling, and amid the Aaron Rodgers trade rumors with the Jets, the Dallas star pass rusher made the most of an opportunity to poke fun at quarterback Zach Wilson.

Alabama basketball player Darius Miles and friend Michael Lynn Davis were indicted, as expected, by a Tuscaloosa grand jury on capital murder charges Friday. The indictments stem from the shooting death of Jamea Jonae Harris on Jan. 15 near the Alabama campus.
Miles, who was kicked off the Alabama team after his arrest on Jan. 15, and Davis are expected to have separate trials. They have remained in jail since Jan. 15. The two have been friends since their childhood in Washington D.C.

The veteran played for 13 years in New England.
Patriots safety Devin McCourty announced Friday that he is retiring from the NFL.
After the Patriots drafted him in the first round of the 2010 draft, McCourty spent his entire 13-year career in New England. The defensive back won three Super Bowl championships and played in 205 of a possible 210 career regular season games.
McCourty retires with 740 tackles, the most in Patriots history, and 35 interceptions, one shy for the most in team history.
