Caitlin Clark doesn’t want to go home empty-handed in her first WNBA postseason series and is fighting (really fighting!) to stay alive.
Clark played a feisty first half against the Connecticut Sun on Wednesday as the Fever face potential elimination in the best-of-three series.
The Fever rook led a pair of heated moments in the first half of action — first getting into it with Sun player DeWanna Bonner, then chirping with a courtside fan.

You’d think that a guy who has been in the public eye as long as Matthew McConaughey has wouldn’t have any hidden skills left up his sleeve, but he proved that to not be the case by unloading some impressive soccer skills/
And he did it barefooted to boot (pun intended).
According to Daily Mail, McConaughey was on the pitch at Q2 Stadium, the home of the MLS‘ Austin FC, where he is the Minister of Culture (which if I’m not mistaken is also his title with the University of Texas.

Carrington received her trophy in front of a raucous crowd of Connecticut Sun fans at the Mohegan Sun Arena.
UNCASVILLE, Conn. — DiJonai Carrington was named the WNBA Most Improved Player on Wednesday — and received her trophy ahead of the Connecticut Sun’s Game 2 match-up against the Indiana Fever at the Mohegan Sun Arena.

UNCASVILLE, Conn. – Tempers flared early in the first half of Game 2 of the Indiana Fever–Connecticut Sun first round matchup on Wednesday with Caitlin Clark nearly getting into an altercation with veteran DeWanna Bonner after a no-call foul.
Clark’s emotions were on full display in the first quarter, but a missed call on a potential landing zone foul by Bonner appeared to set off the star rookie.
Clark took a three-point shot around three minutes into the game, but felt Bonner fouled her when she came back down.

This week, the New York Mets and Atlanta Braves were scheduled to play one of the most important series of the season for both teams. The Mets entered Tuesday night with a two-game lead on Atlanta for a wild card spot, needing to win two of three to secure a wild card spot. Even winning one of three would allow New York to control its own destiny. Conversely, though, the Braves could salvage their season with a sweep, allowing them to win out and make the playoffs.
The stakes couldn’t be higher. And Major League Baseball couldn’t have messed up the series more.

Josh Allen faced pressure following comments perceived as a slight at Stefon Diggs, his former Bills teammate and Pro Bowl receiver.
After Monday’s big win against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Allen praised his wideouts for being selfless, which the Bills QB framed as a change of pace from recent seasons.
Allen said, “When guys get to buy into this and really understand, like, ‘I may not get the ball four, five times thrown to me a game, but the one or two times I do, I’m gonna have opportunities to be in the end zone.

The Ottawa Senators are gearing up for another NHL season — one in which some onlookers (*raises hand*) think that they may be sniffing around a wildcard spot next spring — but before they even play some meaningful hockey, veteran forward Claude Giroux has some other business to attend to.
He might need to go buy a new car because it would appear that one of the dregs of Canadian society decided to steal one of his.
