We may have well over a week left in the 2024 Olympics, but we’ve already been served the most over-the-top celebration of the Summer Games courtesy of Poland’s Aleksandra Jarecka.
While the moment turned out to be unique and legitimately historic for Team Poland, Jarecka’s emotions were unlike anything we’ve seen thus far in Paris.
Matched up with China during the team epee event with a bronze medal on the line, there was a glitch in the scoring system that handed the 28-year-old and Poland a 31-30 edge.

I think we’re well aware of how unbelievably tall San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama is, but it still blows everyone’s mind when he stands next to a short dude, and that happened this week at the Olympics when Wembanyama and the French took on Japan.
Wemby is 7-foot-4, which is absurdly tall, and would look huge standing next to any normal-sized person like myself, at the very respectable “Nature’s perfect height” of 5-foot-10.
But even I would tower over 5-foot-6 Yuki Togashi, so imagine what it looks like when he’s up against Wembanyama.
GYMNASTICS SURRENDER COBRA!
It’s truly impossible to understand how it must feel to compete in Olympic gymnastics against Simone Biles. Never has a swallower of dreams and devourer of worlds come in such a small package — and her brilliance is inevitable.
Heck, even her opponents know that betting against Biles is a fool’s errand, which is exactly what happened to Great Britain on Tuesday when they were in second, celebrated making the podium too early, then realized Team USA still had a score to come in.

Thanks to Sony the NFL is starting to realize two sticks and a chain is not the best way to measure ten yards
If you have ever scrolled through social media on an NFL Sunday, you have probably seen some variation of the following post during a first-down measurement:
“All the technology available to us and we still use two sticks and a chain to measure for a first down.”
In fact, you may have read that from me at least once during that period…
However, those days may be coming to an end.
Outwardly, Mike Vrabel has been like a little bee at this Cleveland Browns training camp — buzzing over here to help the tight ends with their blocking, pollinating the linebacker group with some knowledge, and even flying down the field with quarterback Jameis Winston before practice.
The former Tennessee Titans head coach is seemingly all over, trying to help the Browns in whatever way he can. But he’s also helping to make himself a more formidable head coach candidate for next winter’s round of head coach interviews.

Andrew Shovlin addressed George Russell’s disqualification at Spa in a video released by Mercedes
For a time on Sunday, it looked as if George Russell, in a Formula 1 season filled with the improbably, had pulled off the impossible. While the majority of the field opted for a two-stop race at the Belgian Grand Prix Russell was one of the few who managed to come home with just one stop.

The dust has settled after a frenzied final few hours of trade activity. How did your team fare?
The 2024 MLB Trade Deadline has come and gone. There will be waiver claims, minor signings, injury returns, and other internal promotions from this point onward, but in general, each team’s roster now features the primary players who will hope to lead them to championship glory.
NFL rookies welcomed to the league in incredible video from Fanatics
The annual NFL Hall of Fame Game is Thursday night between the Chicago Bears and the Houston Texans, marking the official start of the preseason slate.
However, NFL teams have been at work for weeks now, preparing for the 2024 season. For rookies, that work includes getting acclimated to a new city, sometimes is city — or even a coast — they have never visited before.
To that point, Fanatics stepped in to help.
The Opening Ceremony of the Paris Olympics featured several drag performers appearing to mock The Last Supper and, therefore, Christians around the world. If you found the performance ridiculous or offensive, however, you’re a homophobe. At least that appears to be Donna Kelce’s opinion of the situation.
Kelce shared a post on her Facebook page from a gentleman named Jeff Rose who clearly thinks that he is very smart and you are very dumb.
