We remember home runs by who hit them… but there’s another player every bit as invested here. The act of giving up a home run can be every bit as emotional as the act of hitting one. And while bat flips, staredowns and similar acts of celebration receive far more attention, there is just as much to glean from the downcast gazes, muttered curse words and other expressions of misery from the men who make the aforementioned revelry possible.
That’s right: It’s time for the year in pitcher reactions to home runs. Or, as we called it last year, a study in the human condition.

Mike Denbrock will once again return to the sidelines of South Bend as an offensive coordinator for Notre Dame.
Reports emerged on Friday that Denbrock will soon begin his third separate coaching tenure with the team. He coached at Notre Dame from 2004-2006, and again from 2010-2016. Denbrock brings decades of offensive expertise back to Notre Dame, something head coach Marcus Freeman sorely needs.
While Notre Dame’s offense didn’t perform poorly, it didn’t look great either.

Over the last three years, former Baylor Bears and NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III has won high marks for his work on ESPN. Griffin’s obvious enthusiasm in the booth and high football IQ—in addition, it must be noted, to his name recognition—have garnered him prestigious assignments in both the college and pro ranks.
It would be easy for Griffin to button himself up with his TV future seemingly secure, but he has shown no sign of doing so.

Despite what his grumpy press conferences would lead one to believe, New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick is just like everyone else.
It’s the holiday season and even the Scrooge-like Belichick made the nice list of the New England media members that he interacts with. During a radio appearance on The Greg Hill Show on WEEI last week, host Greg Hill asked the taciturn Patriots coach if it was alright to give him a gift that he had bought him for Christmas.

Ten Rounds from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia where a Day of Reckoning is coming, or at least that’s what the Saudis have branded Saturday’s all-star fight card…
10. The scene is a little surreal.
Not since the early days of Don King has there been a card with this much talent and even King’s 1990’s pay-per-view didn’t have this kind of star power. Anthony Joshua is sharing the dais with Deontay Wilder, who is a few chairs down from Jarrell Miller, who is sitting in front of Filip Hrgovic, who is alongside Dmitry Bivol. It’s crazy.
