Former Ohio State four-star wide receiver recruit Jeremiah McClellan has flipped his commitment to Oregon.
The Jets are activating Aaron Rodgers from injured reserve, but the quarterback will not play again in the 2023 season.
Georgia added to its No. 1 overall football recruiting class by flipping K.J. Bolden, the top-ranked safety and the No. 16 prospect overall, from Florida State.
Like the rest of college football fans, Ohio State coach Ryan Day learned Wednesday that five-star wide receiver Jeremiah Smith solidified his commitment, signing his letter of intent to play for the Buckeyes.
Day found out the news live while at the podium talking to reporters. His reaction was an instant classic.
Smith, ranked as the No. 1 recruit in the nation by 247Sports, originally committed to Ohio State last December but was pursued by many other programs.
Less than two days removed from a disappointing loss to the Seahawks on Monday Night Football, Eagles All-Pro center Jason Kelce summed up the offense’s struggles with one word.
“Inconsistent,” Kelce said during a Wednesday morning appearance on the WIP Morning Show. “We do some things really well at times and then we have either penalties or turnovers or whatever is really stalling us out.”
“I think we are inconsistent.”

One New Jersey Devils fan who appears to have one — or a few — too many let it all out in spectacular fashion. Worse yet, it was possibly the only thing more disgusting than his team’s 3-2 overtime loss to the surprising Philadelphia Flyers.
In a tip of the cap to network television’s greatest fictional Devils fan, David Puddy, this guy was out supporting the team. As he should be. Tuesday night’s game was for an important Metropolitan Division matchup against the Flyers.
I hope I’m wrong.
That’s how I feel about the Grizzlies, who entered Dec. 20 sitting at 7–19, 13th in the Western Conference. Memphis picked up its seventh win Tuesday, thanks to Ja Morant, who played in his first game of the season after his 25-game suspension for multiple gun-related incidents.
Morant was spectacular against the Pelicans. He dropped 34 points to go along with his six rebounds and eight assists. He hit 12 of 19 shots from inside the arc, including the buzzer-beating game-winner, a feathery floater off a spin over the outstretched arm of Herbert Jones.
Occasionally, an analyst tosses out their opinion about a current or former player that’s so outrageous it legitimately leaves the others floored. Wednesday’s episode of ESPN’s First Take was all of that magnified when Chris “Mad Dog” Russo opted to toss out that Shaquille O’Neal was “the fifth-best center in the history of the NBA.”
Unsurprisingly, the reactions from Stephen A. Smith and Jay Williams were nothing short of spectacular, as neither could believe that Russo was serious.
Drafting quarterbacks remains an inexact science — but hindsight helps. How else does a Mr. Irrelevant contend for a spot at the top? Here’s how we’d sort the best of the recent QB batch.
