The NBA on TNT crew made its 2024 debut on Thursday night, and it didn’t take long for Charles Barkley to offer up some criticism of the Golden State Warriors.
At halftime of the Warriors’ tilt against the reigning champion Denver Nuggets, Barkley reiterated his previous claim that Golden State aren’t contenders for a championship this season.
The analyst questioned the team’s aging core, saying that Klay Thompson and Draymond Green are past their primes and that Stephen Curry is no longer able to mask their lack of production.

The two stars battled all night, and Antetokounmpo tipped his hat to the Spurs’ prized rookie during his postgame interview with TNT’s Jared Greenberg.
“He’s unbelievable. Unbelievable talent. He can score at will, anytime he wants. Plays the right way. Plays to win. It was good to play against him,” said Antetokounmpo after Milwaukee’s 125–121 win.

Morikawa’s back didn’t seem to bother him on Thursday at The Sentry as the 2-time major champion went low.
Collin Morikawa looked strong on Thursday at The Sentry tournament in Kapalua, Maui. He fired off a bogey-free 8-under 65 to sit tied for the lead as he entered the clubhouse. Sahith Theegala would later post a 9-under for the solo lead.
Morikawa is making his fifth start at the event and is looking to close the deal after what happened at last year’s tournament.

Chicago Blackhawks rookie sensation Connor Bedard was selected for the 2024 NHL All-Star Game on Thursday, earning the nod as the franchise’s representative at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto in early February.
Bedard, who is 18 years and 171 days old and has played just 38 games in his NHL career, becomes the youngest player in league history to be selected to the All-Star team.
Come the All-Star Game on Feb. 3, the prized rookie will be 18 years and 201 days old.
Ohio State has decided it needs a quarterback out of the transfer portal, with so many questions about the position for 2024. In this case, Ryan Day has secured the commitment of former Kansas State gunslinger Will Howard.
The quarterback position in Columbus, Ohio, has been a huge talking point ever since former starter Kyle McCord decided to transfer. According to McCord, it was in the best interest for both parties to go their separate ways in working towards the future.
Now, with one season of eligibility remaining, Will Howard is heading to Ohio State to be the starter for Ryan Day.
