The Los Angeles Lakers remain at the center of numerous rumors ahead of Thursday’s NBA trade deadline, many of which include D’Angelo Russell. But as Russell’s name continuously gets floated in various reports and rumors, the 27-year-old is fresh off one of the best months of his professional career.
Russell was asked how he’d deal with the speculation and trade rumors that are bound to increase in the coming days and he was about as candid as possible.
“I mean, I can’t control that my contract makes sense to be traded, either,” Russell said, via ESPN’s Dave McMenamin.

In an era that sees college football programs overhaul their rosters annually like never before, continuity is rare and incredibly valuable.
ESPN college football analyst Bill Connelly ranks every FBS program by returning production each offseason. Last year, Michigan (No. 5), Texas (No. 19) and Washington (No. 22) were among the nation’s leaders, with at least 73% of its statistical production from ’22 returning. Florida State, which went undefeated in the regular season and won the ACC championship before its controversial College Football Playoff snub, was No. 1.

In Super Bowl LVIII, Patrick Mahomes isn’t only playing against the San Francisco 49ers.
Mahomes is also playing against the ghosts of football past.
If Mahomes leads the Kansas City Chiefs to their third Super Bowl win in five years, a few things immediately take place.
The Chiefs become an unquestioned dynasty, cementing themselves alongside the 2000s New England Patriots, 1990s Dallas Cowboys, ’80s San Francisco 49ers, ’70s Pittsburgh Steelers and ’60s Green Bay Packers as the greatest teams to ever grace a gridiron during the Super Bowl era.

SB Nation caught up with James Vowles, Alex Albon, and Logan Sargeant in Rockefeller Center ahead of the 2024 F1 season
We need to make one thing clear at the outset.
Your aspiring Formula 1 blogger does not like heights.
But when Williams not only decides to launch their challenger for the 2024 F1 season in New York City, but they invite you to meet with the team, you accept the invitation first, and worry about the details later.

Rarely at ESPN—or any television network or media outlet, for that matter—do two front-facing personalities get into wars of words. Contentment, or at least the appearance of contentment, is king.
ESPN analysts Dan Orlovsky and Chris Russo do not seem to have received that memo.
Monday saw Orlovsky—a veteran of 26 NFL games over 12 years, and Connecticut’s all-time leading passer since jumping up to FBS—defend his football bonafides after Russo labeled him a “scrub.”
The broadside was prompted by a video of Orlovsky participating in a passing drill at the Pro Bowl.

LeBron James has mentioned on multiple occasions that before he retires he would like to team up with his firstborn son, Bronny. That opportunity could be a reality in the very near future with Bronny potentially declaring for the NBA Draft at the conclusion of his freshman season at USC. While a storyline of LeBron teaming up with his son would be incredibly intriguing for hoops fans, Austin Rivers doesn’t think that it would be a wise move for the younger James.

The NFL is looking to have MORE nights of football, and it’s just getting too much.
The NFL’s priority isn’t football, it’s making sure the money printer goes “brrrrr” perpetually — even if it means sacrificing the soul of football in the process. With sports media all in Las Vegas for the Super Bowl the league is already making announcements about its plans for the 2024 season, and get ready to have more nights of week dominated by he NFL.

Jerome Tang was not a fan of a vulgar chant started by Kansas State fans before and during the Wildcats’ 75—70 upset win over their rival, the Kansas Jayhawks, at Bramlage Coliseum on Monday night.
Wildcats fans could be heard loudly chanting “F*** KU” at various points during the game, something that Tang, who has made his opinion on the matter clear in the past, was asked about during a postgame press conference.
