There’s an element of history to Lewis’ stunning move.
The news that Lewis Hamilton is moving to Ferrari in 2025 is sending seismic waves through Formula 1, as we prepare for the first time in over a decade he won’t be at the wheel of a Mercedes. As jaw-dropping as the report was, it’s also beautiful in its symmetry with the F1 legend to whom Hamilton is so often compared.
Hamilton will be 40-years-old when he joins Ferrari in 2025. It comes after 11 years at Mercedes, and six championships.

Alabama baseball coach Brad Bohannon was given a 15-year show-cause penalty for dumbest gambling scandal ever.
In the latest stupid gambling infraction, former Alabama baseball coach Brad Bohannon and the Alabama baseball program has been given a massive penalty for Bohannon giving out insider information in order to place a bet on the Apr. 28 game between Alabama and LSU.
The NCAA handed Bohannon a 15-year show cause penalty, with a five-year suspension if he gets hired in between that time.

The Alabama baseball program has received its penalty from the NCAA for gambling infractions involving former coach Brad Bohannon.
The school will be placed on three years of probation and fined $5,000. But the Crimson Tide will not suffer a postseason ban or a reduction in scholarships, although Alabama players, coaches and athletic administrators must participate in an extensive gambling education program.
However, Bohannon was severely punished for violating NCAA rules on wagering and ethical content by providing insider information to someone betting on Alabama baseball games.

Alex Albon, Mick Schumacher among options to replace Lewis Hamilton at Mercedes
If you are one of the Formula 1 fans who enjoy “silly season” as much — if not more — than the action on the track, then the 2023 season must have been a rather uninspiring affair for you. Not only was Max Verstappen dominating on the track, but when the dust settled at the end of the 2023 season, all 20 drivers were set to return for 2024, a first for the sport.

Deebo Samuel’s importance to the San Francisco 49ers’ success was a huge topic of discussion before the NFC championship, when his status was still up in the air. Ahead of Super Bowl LVIII, the dynamic receiver remains at the heart of San Francisco’s hyper-efficient offense.
Samuel is deployed as a receiver and a rusher unlike almost any player in the league. How 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan utilizes him and how Kansas City Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo counters that usage could help decide the second Super Bowl matchup between the two teams in four years.

The PGA Tour struck a deal with SSG for up to $3 billion but Norman is unaffected and believes neither will LIV Golf.
LIV Golf is gearing up for its first event of 2024, and CEO Greg Norman is keeping things business as usual.
Following the news that the PGA Tour and Strategic Sports Group signed a massive $3 billion deal, Norman issued a letter to his staff and players.
“Let me make one thing very clear: nothing announced by other tours or investment groups changes LIV Golf’s positive trajectory or future plans,” Norman wrote.

The Baltimore Ravens have promoted inside linebackers coach Zach Orr to defensive coordinator, the team announced Thursday.
Orr, 31, will replace former DC Mike Macdonald, who accepted the head coaching position with the Seattle Seahawks on Wednesday.
The meteoric rise for Ravens’ coaches continues this offseason with Orr’s promotion. He spent the past two seasons as the Ravens’ inside linebackers coach, and his roots in Baltimore trace all the way back to when he signed as a rookie free agent with the Ravens in 2014.

The overwhelming election of Adrián Beltré reminds us that you don’t always see a Hall of Famer coming, even a first-ballot one like Beltré.
Through age 30, Beltré slashed .271/.325/.454, had yet to make an All-Star team and received MVP votes just one time in 12 years. His closest comp was Rubén Sierra. Nobody thought he was on the Hall of Fame Highway.
Beginning with his famous “pillow contract” season with Boston at age 31, Beltré slashed .307/.358/.514, made four All-Star teams and received MVP support seven straight years out of those nine seasons.
