Hitting the thrift store often replicates the rush of playing Vegas slots. One day you walk in looking for a new tie or refurbished underwear (anyone else?) only to stumble upon a gem someone intentionally or unintentionally donated.
One lucky sneakerhead in Oregon found his hidden gem, discovering a pair of Jordan brand sneakers in a donation bin, worth thousands of dollars.
Lucky Volunteer Finds Expensive Pair of Jordans Owned By Director Spike Lee
The volunteer at Burnside Shelter found the leather sneakers.

Things in San Francisco have gotten so bad, current MLB players, even those from California, are trashing what the city’s become.
On Wednesday, a new report broke that the city’s disastrous increase in crime and support for open drug use was costing the San Francisco Giants free agents. Including, most notably, the biggest free agent in the sport’s history, Shohei Ohtani.

The Dodgers have agreed to acquire Rays pitcher Tyler Glasnow in a four-player trade, ESPN’s Jeff Passan reported on Thursday. The deal is contingent on Glasnow signing a contract extension with Los Angeles.
Glasnow, 30, is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent after the 2024 MLB season on his current deal.
Rays outfielder Manuel Margot will also head to Los Angeles, while Dodgers pitcher Ryan Pepiot and outfielder Jonny Deluca will join Tampa Bay.
The Dodgers continue to stack their roster.
There has been plenty of discourse about the city of San Francisco flying around the baseball world since two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani signed with the Dodgers.
Giants ace Logan Webb came to the city’s defense Thursday in two social media posts.
The most mysterious man in baseball mostly remained that way on Thursday. Shohei Ohtani, speaking at his Dodgers introductory press conference, which included his first public comments in more than four months, didn’t reveal much about himself—but he did reveal something about the Dodgers.
Fans had been clamoring to hear from Ohtani for nearly a third of a year when he took the stage at Dodger Stadium. He had not addressed the media since Aug.
The 35-year-old believes he can make a return to the mound next summer.
Shohei Ohtani’s introductory press conference with the Dodgers was held on Thursday after the 29-year-old inked a 10-year, $700 million deal to sign for Los Angeles.
After the press conference, Ohtani was interviewed by SportsNet Los Angeles, during which he was asked about the plane tracking saga that occurred during the height of the frenzy surrounding his free agency.
Regarding that debacle, Ohtani admitted he was made aware of the situation on Friday after several people reached out. He said was just at home and chilling with his dog while the rumors began to circulate.
It’s tough being a Detroit Pistons fan. Just ask the two boys who attended the team’s 21st consecutive loss — 21 straight L’s! — on Wednesday and broke out into a brotherly shoving match, fueled by the frustrations of rooting for the 2-22 Pistons.
Think about it. Dallas Cowboys safety Daron Bland has more touchdowns (5) as an NFL defensive player than an NBA team has wins over a 24-game stretch.
The NCAA announced Thursday that student-athletes who participate in games during the 14-day temporary restraining order will lose a season of eligibility if Wednesday’s federal ruling on transfer rules is reversed.
