The Los Angeles Lakers star has been facing serious criticism after he was filmed walking around and sitting during the national anthem prior to a USC game.
Unfortunately, it definitely wasn’t surprising, but that hardly makes it any less disappointing. LeBron just can’t be brought to care about the beautiful flag that represents the country we call home.
The backlash has been swift and unrelenting. The former NBA center is now joining those ripping the four-time champion.

Longtime Angels star Shohei Ohtani is packing his bags to move across town and join the Dodgers after signing a record-breaking 10-year, $700 million contract last weekend.
His original team reportedly had every chance to re-sign him, however.
Toward the end of Ohtani’s free-agent process, the superstar’s representation reached out to Angels owner Arte Moreno to see if he wanted to match the Dodgers’ offer. Moreno declined, according to Los Angeles Times reporter Jack Harris.

Blues forward Jordan Kyrou was the subject of some boos from the St. Louis home crowd Thursday night during the team’s 4–1 win over the Senators.
The 25-year-old was emotional while speaking to reporters in the locker room after the win, admitting that it hurt to hear the fans turn on him in the aftermath of some controversial comments he made about former coach Craig Berube, who was fired on Tuesday.
“It’s just tough,” said Kyrou while fighting back tears. “I love playing here so it’s just tough to here the fans booing me there.

Raiders star Maxx Crosby joined Amazon Prime Video’s Thursday Night Football after the dominant 63–21 victory against the rival Chargers, and he quickly made himself comfortable on the postgame set.
Crosby arrived to the set shirtless with a cigar in hand, where he joined Charissa Thompson, Tony Gonzalez, Andrew Whitworth, Ryan Fitzpatrick, and Richard Sherman to break down Las Vegas’s win. 
The Raiders set a franchise record for the most points scored (63) in a single game. The defense forced three fumbles and had a pick-six against the Easton Stick-led Los Angeles offense.

If there’s anything the Chargers can take from the 63-21 embarrassment on Thursday night, it’s that there’s no way Brandon Staley can return as head coach next season.

When Chargers coach Brandon Staley spoke with the media after his team’s 63–21 loss to the Raiders, it didn’t take long for the topic of his job security to be broached.
When asked if he thinks he’ll still be the team’s head coach come Friday, Staley said he didn’t know. 
He was then asked if he thought he should maintain his role as head coach, to which he said, “Yes,” per Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer.

There are highlight-worthy football plays, and then there are flat out ridiculous football plays.
Raiders cornerback Jack Jones put his stamp on one of the best plays of the entire 2023 NFL season during Las Vegas’s 63–21 rout of the Chargers on Thursday Night Football.
On a second-and-13 from the Chargers’ 22-yard line, quarterback Easton Stick tried to sneak a screen pass to running back Austin Ekeler. Jones stepped in, however, and somehow snatched the football out of thin air with one hand and ran it back to the end zone for six points.
