In a stunning turn of events on Friday morning, the best golfer in the world, Scottie Scheffler, was arrested by Louisville PD on his way to the PGA Championship.
Scheffler says that the entire incident occurred due to a “misunderstanding.” Earlier Friday, a man was struck and killed by a shuttle bus en route to Valhalla Golf Club, the site of this weekend’s major tournament.
That tragic event led to heightened police prepense around the event, which in turn led to Scheffler’s unfortunate run-in with police.

Scottie Scheffler had an unbelievable day at the PGA Championship, both on and off the golf course.
Scottie Scheffler’s head kept spinning, and he could not stop shaking after his early morning arrest at the PGA Championship.
And who could blame him? Scheffler only wanted to get to Valhalla in advance of his early morning tee time to warm up, get loose, and prepare for another major championship round.

Boston Bruins left-winger and team captain Brad Marchand is known as “The Little Ball of Hate,” and with good reason.
He’s dished out countless dirty hits in his career and has surrendered $1.4 million in fines to the NHL, which is a lot of money by pro hockey standards. A bit of trivia for you: he’s the most suspended player in NHL history, receiving eight separate disciplines. Oh, and let’s not forget about his psychotic licking habits, which he’s thankfully stopped.
One week ago, Marchand was involved in another dirty collision.

Pittsburgh Pirates top prospect Paul Skenes made his Major League debut last week against the Chicago Cubs, showing off his exceptional fastball and dominant offspeed stuff. Skenes was solid, with seven strikeouts in four innings, though allowed three runs on six hits and two walks.
His second start on Friday also came against the Cubs, and with the first start jitters behind him, Skenes absolutely obliterated the first time through the order.
It started in the first inning, with Skenes pumping 100mph fastballs by Mike Tauchman, Ian Happ and Cody Bellinger for three straight strikeouts.

Watch out everyone, New York City is back as a sports town.
Despite having legendary franchises like the Yankees and the New York football Giants, NYC has been in a championship drought in recent years, with their last trophy coming in 2012 when the G-Men defeated  Tom ‘Plugs’ Brady and the New England Patriots.
New York City has felt lame and almost as if there was something missing – because there had been something missing:  Madison Square Garden.

Over the years, there has been this odd yet noticeable shift among sports writers in which many in the profession don’t seem to actually enjoy or appreciate sports. This trend was magnified during the peak of the pandemic when many holier-than-thou sports writers worked tirelessly to make sure the sports world was shut down entirely, and many haven’t managed to step back into reality.
