The trade dropped in the hours leading up to Wednesday’s draft.

Former Texas A&M baseball coach Jim Schlossnagle pulled a quick one this week after switching from College Station to Austin to accept the Texas head coaching gig.
Schlossnagle was asked after narrowly missing a College World Series win on Monday whether he’d consider moving on from the Aggies and responded by berating the reporter.
Not long after, Schlossnagle accepted the Texas job, and his impassioned rant completely backfired.
Richard Zane, the TexAgs reporter who was chewed out by Schlossnagle, joined “OutKick Hot Mic” with Jonathan Hutton & Chad Withrow on Wednesday.

French forward Zaccharie Risacher, 19, becomes the fourth international prospect to be taken with the top overall pick in the NBA draft, going to the Atlanta Hawks.

Shohei Ohtani made Dodger history in front of the White Sox‘s first sold-out crowd of the season at Guaranteed Rate Field on Wednesday. It’s time to grade every first round pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.
The 2024 NBA Draft is hardly the most anticipated in league history, but it’s important to remember that even weak drafts have plenty of good players. Take 2013, for instance: Anthony Bennett was an all-time bust at No. 1 overall, but there was a future two-time league MVP in Giannis Antetokounmpo and four-time Defensive Player of the Year in Rudy Gobert taken outside of the lottery.

The 2023 NBA Draft certainly lacked intrigue, at least when it came to the first-overall selection. For months Victor Wembayama was locked into the top spot on every draft board, and when the San Antonio Spurs won the 2023 NBA Draft lottery it was clear: Wembymania was headed to the Lone Star State, and the draft began in earnest at No. 2.
That is not the case this year.
The 2024 NBA Draft begins later tonight, as the league shifts to a two-day event for this season.

The NFL informed its teams Wednesday that it will not be holding a supplemental draft this year.
