Fox sideline reporter Charissa Thompson made headlines this week for all the wrong reasons when she admitted to making up sideline reports during games in the past.
“I’ve said this before,” Thompson said on Barstool Sports’s Pardon My Take podcast. “I haven’t been fired for saying it, but I’ll say it again. I would make up the report sometimes because A.) the coach wouldn’t come out at halftime, or it was too late and I didn’t want to screw up the report. So I was like, ‘I’m just gonna make this up.

Probably not, but got you with that headline didn’t I!? OK, so there’s a little bit of smoke around Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow. The team posted video of the team getting off the plane in Baltimore ahead of their Thursday Night Football contest against the Ravens.
The Bengals social media team quickly deleted that video. Why? In it, fans could see that Burrow had some kind of wrap on his right hand.

Lots of talk about a deleted #Bengals post, which showed Joe Burrow wearing some type of brace or sleeve on his right wrist.

While the future of Bulls guard Zach LaVine remains a looming question, the idea of the 28-year-old landing with the Knicks just had some cold water tossed on it.
LaVine reportedly would “prefer” not to go to New York and join the Knicks, which is one of “multiple reasons” the deal likely won’t happen, according to Stefan Bondy of the New York Post.

A source reiterated to The Post this week that LaVine’s camp would prefer not to go to Leon Rose’s squad.

As Bondy notes, this obviously doesn’t mean that a potential LaVine-to-Knicks deal won’t happen.

The back-to-back national champions took back the top spot in the latest College Football Playoff rankings. Georgia is back to No. 1 ahead of Saturday’s trip to Knoxville to take on No. 18 Tennessee.
The Bulldogs clinched their third straight SEC title game appearance with last week’s win and now the Volunteers are trying to play spoiler against their division foe with the regular season winding down. Out West, No. 5 Washington is staying alive in the playoff race but the Huskies are up against another stout challenger on the road this week in No. 11 Oregon State.

Ohio Stadium is in the mix to host a future NHL Winter Classic outdoor game featuring the hometown Blue Jackets, according to a report from The Columbus Dispatch.
According to the report, NHL representatives were on site to witness Ohio State football’s win over Michigan State last Saturday to perform a site survey for a potential hockey event in the stadium at a future date.
“We remain very interested in and excited about hosting an outdoor game, and have had numerous discussions with the NHL and Ohio State about doing so,” Blue Jackets spokesman Todd Sharrock told The Dispatch.

Unlike the usual slate, this week’s Thursday Night Football matchup does not disappoint. The Bengals and Ravens will face off in primetime where both squads are making a push for not only the AFC North crown but a Super Bowl appearance. Both teams are led by star quarterbacks who are in the midst of a storied rivalry in the making. And now, it’s as good a time as any to take a look at the Joe Burrow vs. Lamar Jackson debate by the numbers.

The F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix takes place this coming Saturday, Nov. 18, at 10 p.m. local time, 1 a.m. ET. The event should be a curiosity with the race taking place right in the city and part of the track taking over the Las Vegas Strip.
Watching how the drivers navigate the track should be even more of a spectacle live than on television. Yet interest in the Grand Prix appears to be mild, judging from dropping ticket prices for the event. Prices have been reduced by nearly 60%.

After one of the worst primetime slates ever witnessed last weekend, we’re getting some redemption in Week 11.
For starters, the Bengals and Ravens are locking up at M&T Bank Stadium on Thursday night, with the AFC North potentially in the balance. If Baltimore wins, it claims a 2.5-game lead on Cincinnati with a season sweep in hand. However, the Bengals can close to within a half-game while both teams have tough roads ahead.
Then, on Monday night, we have what could both be a Super Bowl rematch and preview taking place at Arrowhead Stadium.
