All eyes were on superstar Shohei Ohtani on Thursday night while he was in attendance for the Los Angeles Rams’ matchup against the New Orleans Saints.
Midway through the second quarter, Ohtani was shown on the jumbotron at SoFi Stadium, where he showed off his No. 17 jersey the Rams gifted him before the game.
Soon after, the Thursday Night Football broadcast cut to Ohtani in his seats, and the superstar appeared to pretend to shield his eyes from the camera.

Carson Briere, son of NHL general manager Danny Briere, received 15 months of probation stemming from a viral bar incident in March. Briere was permanently banned from the bar and ran into legal trouble as well.
The Mercyhurst student and a fellow student-athlete were caught on camera tossing a woman’s wheelchair down the stairs at Sullivan’s Irish Pub in Pennsylvania. Briere and Mercyhurst University lacrosse player Patrick Carrozzi received charges of second-degree misdemeanor criminal mischief for throwing the wheelchair.

For more than two decades now, LeBron James has been the defining figure in the NBA.
As a rookie, James still had to compete with the likes of Kobe Bryant for the title of face of the league, but as his star continued to rise and Bryant moved towards retirement, James took strong hold of the title for the better part of the decade.
While one could argue that Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry or several other top tier players have made a momentarily run as the face of the league, it’s still largely been LeBron’s burden to carry.
But nothing lasts forever.

How bad does your season have to be for people to start wondering whether or not you even like the sport you’re playing? Apparently, it has to be Kadarius Toney bad.
As you’re no doubt aware by this point in the NFL season, Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Kadarius Toney has had several costly mistakes.
He kicked off the season with some serious stone hands in the season opener against Detroit. Then he infamously lined up offside and cost the Chiefs a win. Then just last week he bobbled a ball that led to an interception against the Patriots.

There hasn’t been a ton to celebrate for the Washington Commanders this season.
Sure, the Commanders have been basking in the glow of ridding themselves of former owner Dan Snyder, but apart from the change at the top it’s been business as usual.
However, Washington continues to have at least one position covered. Commanders punter Tress Way is averaging 46.1 yards per punt this season, the 10th straight year the Oklahoma product has averaged at least 45 yards per punt.

We hadn’t heard much from Dan Le Batard since he defended Deadspin for lying about a 9-year-old kid wearing blackface.
But he’s in the news again for a segment in which he criticized the HBO show Hard Knocks for downplaying Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill’s past issues of domestic violence.
“Tyreek Hill came here to get stardom and to ‘sportswash’ some of his past, and he’s largely done that,” Le Batard said.
“He is a star, talking about him for MVP, and very few people bring up horrifying details of his domestic abuse past.

If you catch a midnight premiere of the Lewis Hamilton-produced Formula 1 movie starring Brad Pitt whenever its released, don’t expect reigning F1 champ Max Verstappen to be in the theater.
…Not sure why you’d expect that, but I saved you some time.
There’s still quite a bit of buzz around Formula 1 these days and that’s why Hollywood wants in on it. Multiple F1-related projects have been recently released or are currently in the works. Take Keanu Reaves’ Brawn GP documentary, Brawn: The Impossible Formula 1 Story, which was released last month and is fantastic.

Shohei Ohtani’s decision to sign with the Los Angeles Dodgers was the biggest move of the MLB offseason, and the largest money deal in the history of sports.
On Thursday, Ohtani celebrated his new contract with a trip to SoFi Stadium to watch the Los Angeles Rams take on the New Orleans Saints on Thursday Night Football.
The Rams honored Ohtani’s presence by offering him a customized jersey complete with his name and number before the game.
A grateful Ohtani held up the jersey with pride as pictures were taken.
