The NFL seems to believe that no player can perform well without the aid of illegal substances. Just ask Jake Browning
The Cincinnati Bengals quarterback started his fifth game of the season against the Minnesota Vikings, and played exceptionally well. He finished with 324 passing yards, 2 touchdowns (both to Tee Higgins), and an interception in a 27-24 overtime win. Additionally, he engineered a game-tying and game-winning drive in regulation and overtime, respectively.
Everyone sat amazed at Browning’s third-consecutive win in relief of the injured Joe Burrow.
Suns star Bradley Beal’s up-and-down season reportedly added another setback on Saturday, with the guard, again, set to miss multiple games due to injury.
Beal, 30, will “likely to miss a few weeks” after sustaining a right ankle injury early in Friday’s game against the Knicks, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania.
Beal’s scary injury occurred in the first quarter in New York when the three-time All-Star landed on Knicks guard Donte DiVincenzo’s heel while attempting a shot.
What do you get when the skies open up and two teams battle in a monsoon? App State and Miami Ohio delivered one of the wildest bowl game performances in recent memory, for all the wrong reasons.
First off, congratulations to App State for winning the Cure Bowl 13-9 in Orlando, Florida. After scoring the game’s only touchdown, we found out this was going to be a muddy mess. I feel for both teams in this postseason outing.
On a positive note, ESPN analyst Booger McFarland pointed out postgame that neither team needed a bathroom break during the downpour.
The Colts dug their way out of an early hole and Steelers continue searching for answers.
Bengals star Tee Higgins dazzled NFL fans with clutch touchdown against the Vikings on Saturday, an unbelievable play that apparently even the wide receiver himself couldn’t believe.
The Bengals’ 27–24 overtime win saw Higgins tie the game after stretching backwards to secure an unreal 21-yard touchdown grab over Vikings cornerback Akayleb Evans with 39 seconds left in regulation.
When asked to break down the sequence after the game, Higgins, perhaps still in disbelief, kept it candid when explaining his thought process in the moment.
Wide receiver George Pickens of the Pittsburgh Steelers once again let his frustration and immaturity affect his actions against the Indianapolis Colts.
During the first quarter, the Pittsburgh Steelers drove deep into the red zone on their second possession. Quarterback Mitchell Trubisky handed the ball off to running back Jaylen Warren, who got tackled at the 1-yard line.
However, Warren likely would have scored if George Pickens made time in his schedule to play football.
Warren chose to run towards Pckens’ side of the field.
Longtime NFL Network host and commentator Rich Eisen wasn’t going to let the league off easy.
Eisen, who was on the call for Saturday’s Colts–Steelers matchup, spoke for every fan with one comment he made during the broadcast. During the third quarter, Steelers running back Najee Harris fumbled the ball, but officials on the field determined that he was down by contact—a ruling that Indianapolis challenged, and later won.
But as the replays of the play were being shown, NFL Network decided to go to commercial—and the fan in Eisen came out.
Gardner Minshew rallied Indianapolis from a 13-point deficit with three TD passes and Matt Gay has added three FGs in a matchup with Pittsburgh that has playoff implications.
