Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts got an NFL record as a Christmas gift.
With less than four minutes gone in the fourth quarter, the Eagles faced 1st-and-goal from the 1-yard line. Now if you’re even a casual football fan, you know what the Eagles do in these situations.
They don’t mess around by having their quarterback roll to his right on a bootleg. Running backs don’t get much action either, though situations like these normally call for such plays.
Philadelphia almost exclusively runs the trademark “Brotherly Shove” when they only need one yard.

Even after skyrocketing to fame, New York Giants quarterback Tommy DeVito still shares the very relatable feeling of being awestruck in the presence of sports superstars.
The New Jersey native recently went out for dinner in New York City and recounted the surreal experience of dining next to Yankees slugger Aaron Judge.
DeVito told FOX Sports’ Peter Schrager ahead of the Giants’ matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 16: “Two nights ago, I went out to dinner in the city, and at the table next to me was Aaron Judge.

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle exited Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys early after sustaining a leg injury during the third quarter. He did not return, although the Dolphins were able to edge out a crucial victory in his absence.
On Monday, coach Mike McDaniel provided an update on Waddle’s injury, indicating that the 25-year-old had suffered a high ankle sprain, per ESPN’s Marcel Louis-Jacques.

The Las Vegas Raiders were in the holiday spirit following their 20–14 win over the rival Kansas City Chiefs on Monday at Arrowhead Stadium.
Las Vegas safety Tre’von Moehrig, who racked up three tackles in the win, posted a savage message to social media after the game.
“Grinch stole Christmas mf,” he wrote minutes after the Raiders walked into a joyous locker room.

Moehrig wasn’t the only Raiders player to reference the Grinch on Monday.

The Denver Nuggets sent another reminder of why they are the defending champs on Christmas Day.
The Nuggets grinded out a 120–114 win over the Golden State Warriors, and did so with a familiar formula: letting Nikola Jokić lead them down the stretch.
After the umpteenth time Denver’s bench wasn’t able to sustain a lead, Jokić entered the fourth quarter, with just over eight minutes to go and the Nuggets trailing 97–94. Over the rest of the game, Denver outscored Golden State 26–17.

The New York Giants needed a new kicker for their Week 16 game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Christmas Day, so they signed veteran Mason Crosby to fill the role. Crosby, the longtime Green Bay Packers kicker, has not kicked for a team that wasn’t the Packers in a game until this week.
With so many numbers taken this late into the season, Crosby chose a weird one with New York: No. 21. Not only is this not a typical kicker’s number, but it used to be worn by longtime Giants running back Tiki Barber.

The Eagles QB made some history on Christmas Day
The Philadelphia Eagles have a chance to inch closer to a second-straight NFC East title on Christmas Day. With the Dallas Cowboys losing to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, the Eagles now just need to run the table to secure the division, starting with a win over the New York Giants.
Early in that game, their quarterback made a little NFL history.

Jalen Hurts is one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL, largely due to his dual-threat ability. The Philadelphia Eagles star is as dangerous a runner as he is a passer, and he proved that with a record-breaking score in Week 16’s game against the New York Giants.
The Eagles struck first in the game, as Hurts executed the vaunted “Tush Push” for his 15th rushing touchdown of the season. That number is a milestone, as Hurts officially broke Cam Newton’s record for most rushing touchdowns in an NFL season by a quarterback.
