Ohio State coach Ryan Day might want to stay far away from the internet.
The Buckeyes lost to the Missouri Tigers 14-3 in the Cotton Bowl in what was a downright ugly game. OSU backup Devin Brown had to start after Kyle McCord transferred, he eventually went down and was replaced by Lincoln Kienholz and the fact Marvin Harrison Jr. didn’t play just compounded the problems for Ohio State.
The Buckeyes finished the game with a total of 106 passing yards on 10/24 passing, no touchdowns and just 97 rushing yards in the loss. It was an uninspiring and tough game for OSU fans to have to endure.

Indianapolis Colts tight end Drew Ogletree reportedly was arrested Friday.
The NFL TE has been charged with domestic battery resulting in moderate bodily injury and domestic battery committed in the presence of a child less than 16 years old, according to the New York Post. Both charges are felonies.
Avon police officers were dispatched to a home after a report of physical violence on Tuesday, according to Fox59.

Winning 11 games is considered a successful season most places in the college football world.
Ohio State is not one of those places.
The Buckeyes boast the largest fan base in the country, and  great expectations come with that support. Even though Ohio State went 11–2 this season, you would be hard pressed to find a Buckeyes fan who’s pleased with that result.
That’s because Ohio State suffered a third consecutive loss to archrival Michigan on Nov. 25 and then sputtered its way to a 14–3 Cotton Bowl defeat against Missouri on Friday night.

No. 9 Missouri earned a convincing 14–3 win over No. 7 Ohio State in the Cotton Bowl at AT&T Stadium on Friday night.
The Tigers (11–2) dominated Ohio State (11–2) on the defensive side of the ball, holding the Buckeyes to 203 total yards and he team’s lowest point total (3) of the Ryan Day era in Columbus.
After trailing Ohio State 3–0 at halftime, Missouri capped an 11-win season by scoring two impressive fourth-quarter touchdowns.

The situation between Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos continues to deteriorate.
Just this week, multiple reports confirmed that Wilson would be effectively benched for the rest of the Broncos season. And on Friday, he also confirmed that it was their decision, with the team demanding that he void much of the guaranteed money in his contract.

Wilson said that the Broncos approached him during the bye week, and told him he had to change a specific clause in his contract or be benched.

McNeese State won their six consecutive game by upsetting Michigan, 87–76, at the Crisler Center in Ann Arbor on Friday night.
The Cowboys, who improved to 11–2 on the season, were dominant on both ends of the court, hitting at 41.2% (7-of-17) from beyond the arc and forcing the Wolverines into 15 turnovers on the defensive end.
Shahada Wells scored a game-high 30 points, while adding 10 rebounds, six assists and five steals. The senior guard led a balanced scoring attack that witnessed three other Cowboys score in double-digits.

It is not often that football fans will find a starting quarterback wearing jersey No. 33.
In Friday night’s Cotton Bowl, No. 7 Ohio State‘s signal-caller Devin Brown is sporting the unconventional jersey number against No. 9 Missouri.
Brown is making his first career start in place of Kyle McCord who transferred to Syracuse on Dec. 17. The talented sophomore wears the number in honor of NFL Hall of Fame Washington quarterback Sammy Baugh.
“He actually played in the first Cotton Bowl and was the MVP,” said Brown.

Joey Votto has spent his entire 17-year career with the Cincinnati Reds.
In the modern version of Major League Baseball, it’s become extremely rare for a player to spend his entire career with one team. And if Votto was ready to retire, he’d be the exception to the rule. But the 40-year-old seems interested in continuing to play, and after the Reds declined his $20 million option for 2024, he became a free agent for the first time in his career.

He doesn’t seem to be enjoying it very much.
