Free agent punter Drue Chrisman gave us an inside look at what it’s like to try out for an NFL team. Unfortunately, that NFL team didn’t appreciate it.
In a video posted to social media, Chrisman took viewers through a day in the life of a guy just trying to make the Washington Commanders’ roster. The video, dripping with self-deprecating humor, was a hit on Twitter / X and has racked up more than 1.3 million views as of Monday evening.
But the Commanders weren’t fans.

There’s a strange situation playing out in the WNBA right now. Los Angeles Sparks forward Dearica Hamby is  suing the Las Vegas Aces and head coach Becky Hammon for trading her because she was pregnant in 2023.
As OutKick’s Alejandro Avila reported last week, Hamby filed the suit Monday alleging that “the team and coach Becky Hammon gave her a complete cold shoulder and mistreated the star player after finding out she was pregnant.

I honestly think one of the best things the MLB does is hold a regular-season game at the Little League World Series in Williamsport, PA, and this year’s edition was awesome.
Before the game between the Detroit Tigers and the New York Yankees took place, one player from each team participated in the first pitch by doing a relay form deep in centerfield to home plate. In all honesty, I think that’s one of the coolest traditions out there.
And this year’s game was particularly entertaining.

Jordan Chiles may have been officially stripped of her bronze medal from the 2024 Summer Olympics, but she’s still going to hold on to it.
The American gymnast went from fifth to third in the women’s floor exercise final after an appeal to the judges about her score. However, because of a wild set of circumstances, the Court of Arbitration for Sports invalidated the U.S.’s appeal, which dropped Chiles back down to fifth place. As such, Romanian gymnast Ana Barbosu was given the bronze for the event after the appeal process.

WNBA players don’t make a lot of money. And Caitlin Clark is not afraid to point that out.
Clark’s Indiana Fever beat the Seattle Storm on Sunday, 92-75. The No. 1 pick finished with 23 points, 9 assists and 5 rebounds. Her teammate, Lexie Hull, added another 22 points.
After her breakout game, a reporter asked Hull if she was going to be buying season tickets for her family from here on out. But Clark interjected.
“Those are pretty expensive. Our salaries… it is like our entire salary to get those,” Clark said. “I’m not kidding.

Here are five pieces of advice for anyone visiting Ireland or the United Kingdom to play links golf.
Playing links golf in Ireland or the United Kingdom is unlike any other golfing experience, one that every golfer should try and do at least once in their lifetime.
Call it a pilgrimage of sorts.
I recently took this otherworldly voyage to Ireland to play links golf for the first time.

I’ll start by saying something that nearly every college football fan doesn’t want to hear: Connor Stalions has a new job in football.
But thankfully, it’s not in college football. Stalions, the man at the epicenter of the Michigan Wolverines’ sign-stealing scandal, is taking his talents to the high school level. He is now a volunteer defensive coordinator for Mumford High School – a recruiting pipeline for the Maize n’ Blue, go figure – which is located in Detroit.

In February 2022, Brian Flores filed a discrimination lawsuit against the NFL and named the New York Giants, Denver Broncos and Miami Dolphins, specifically.
Flores claimed that the NFL used “racism in hiring” practices that negatively affected him, since he is a black coach.
One of the important points in the lawsuit is that Dolphins’ owner Stephen Ross labeled Flores as “difficult to work with.

This is a reminder the NFL is a private business whose primary goal is to make money. And the foremost way it does this is by driving as many people as possible to watch its games on television or in stadiums.
So, how to accomplish this? Well, people are lured to become fans by the promise of action and entertainment, which the NFL understands very often comes when it delivers more POINTS.
And now you understand a root cause for the NFL’s radical change on kickoffs this season.
