With no other major sporting events on the calendar for Monday night, Major League Baseball took center stage with its annual Home Run Derby.
For many fans, the Home Run Derby is the highlight of All-Star Weekend, ahead of the All-Star Game. 
This year’s version takes place at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, home of the Texas Rangers. 
Naturally, with the game set in the state of Texas, MLB invited a country music artist to sing the American National Anthem prior to the start of the Home Run Derby.

Ingrid Andress’ 2024 Home Run Derby anthem broke our eardrums
The 2024 MLB Home Run Derby began with a national anthem that will stand the test of time for all the wrong reasons. Singer Ingrid Andress’ rendition of “The Star Spangled Banner” at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas drew confused looks from the baseball stars on the field and hilarious commentary on social media.
Andress’ rendition just didn’t hit the same notes singers usually do. Her bizarre singing during some of the most iconic parts of the song almost brought several players to laughter.

UFC heavyweight champ Jon “Bones” Jones is facing two misdemeanor charges after intimidating a drug test worker back in March. 
Bones faces up to a year of jail time and a total of $1,500 in fees, as relayed by MMA Junkie. The latest run-in with authorities prompted further concern over the famed fighter’s well-being. 
The incident occurred at Jones’ home in New Mexico on June 30 when the drug tester set the 36-year-old fighter off by requesting a urine sample.
