The Los Angeles Sparks were hit with major injury news. Rookie sensation Cameron Brink suffered a left knee injury, and further tests revealed on Wednesday that Brink suffered a torn ACL. It will sideline Brink for the rest of her rookie campaign.
Brink’s injury broke hearts everywhere.
Cameron posted solid numbers in her professional debut season. She averaged 8.1 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 2.4 blocks and 1.1 steals per game this season (14 games).
During the first half of the Sparks’ game against the Connecticut Sun on Tuesday, she suffered a knee injury.

It’s been a rough week for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Though they sit in first place, well ahead of the rest of the National League West, the Dodgers lost superstar shortstop Mookie Betts for at least 6-8 weeks after he was hit in the hand by a 98mph fastball on Sunday.
That came one day after losing rookie phenom Yoshinobu Yamamoto for an undetermined amount of time with a strained rotator cuff. But if there’s one thing the modern Dodgers have excelled at, it’s building depth to sustain injury issues.
