The NFC Championship between the Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams is turning into an instant classic. Late in the third quarter, the Seahawks lead by 11, 31-20, as they try to protect home-field advantage and advance to the Super Bowl opposite the New England Patriots in Santa Clara, Calif.
The Seahawks offense has come up large with nearly 300 total yards, but it’s the former Ohio State wide receiver, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who is continuing to have a day with nine receptions for 139 yards and a touchdown.
The game may be far from done, but Smith-Njigba has already made NFL history.
Move over, Justin Jefferson. More receivers are joining the party, introducing Smith-Njigba.

“Jaxon Smith-Njigba passes Justin Jefferson for the most receiving yards EVER by a player in their age 23-or-younger season, including playoffs,” the NFL Plus account tweeted Sunday.
The tweet has since been viewed over 7,000 times, with much of the NFL ‘X’ community marveling at how good he has become fairly quickly.
The Seahawks have more work to do to hold off the vaunted Rams, led by Super Bowl-winning quarterback Matthew Stafford.
