The New England Patriots signed offensive tackle Caleb Lomu to his rookie contract on Monday. That officially leaves second-round pick edge rusher Gabe Jacas as the only Patriots 2026 rookie who remains unsigned.
Jacas missed voluntary OTAs with the team, and there have been questions on if he will be ready to return for mandatory minicamp. ESPN’s Mike Reiss wondered if the former Illinois standout has been sidelined with an injury this offseason.

NEW YORK (AP) — Knicks coach Mike Brown criticized the officiating in Game 3 of the NBA Finals after the San Antonio Spurs shot 24 free throws in the second half to New York’s eight.
“I never thought I’d see that in an NBA Finals game, and I saw it tonight,” Brown said.
The Spurs won 115-111 on Monday night to cut the Knicks’ lead in the series to 2-1. It was New York’s first loss in 46 days, ending a 13-game postseason winning streak.
Brown credited the Spurs for their performance and listed some things the Knicks did poorly.

President Donald Trump was eaten alive on social media by New York Knicks fans after the team’s devastating 115-111 loss in Game 3 of the NBA Finals. 
The team had been on a historic 13-game winning streak in this year’s playoffs going into Monday night’s contest, but couldn’t hold off the scrappy San Antonio Spurs. The series is now 2-1 in favor of the Knicks heading into Game 4 in New York on Wednesday.

The San Antonio Spurs have defeated the New York Knicks 115-111 in Game 3 of the NBA Finals. This Spurs win spoiled the 27 year party at Madison Square Garden. The series is now a 2-1 lead for the Knicks. The Spurs winning tonight guarantees another game in San Antonio. 
The Spurs were able to survive the almost must win scenario. Had the Knicks won, Friday’s game would have been an elimination game.

Alex Smith thinks it’s only a matter of time before San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan wins a championship

The Kansas City Chiefs reunited with veteran defensive back L’Jarius Sneed on June 8, just a day before their mandatory OTAs kick off at team facilities.

The NBA Finals will return to Madison Square Garden for the first time in nearly three decades when the Knicks host the Spurs on Monday night.
New York will bring a 2-0 lead and 13-game winning streak into Game 3 of the championship series. The Knicks are ready to play in front of one of the most electric crowds in recent memory and take another step toward the Larry O’Brien Trophy.

Aaron Boone was working out of his office at Yankee Stadium when pitching coach Matt Blake relayed the biggest news of the Bombers’ offseason.
“Cody’s back,” Blake told Boone and staffer Ryan McLaughlin, who was also on the scene.
Boone responded with excitement, as the Yankees had come to terms with a player who had posted a 125 wRC+ and a 4.9 fWAR for them in 2025.
Blake, of course, was referring to Cody Bellinger, whose prolonged free agency unofficially came to an end on Jan. 21.

On the verge of a loss after giving up a big lead, Caitlin Clark hit a dagger. The Indiana Fever guard hit a big three in the final seconds of the game to pull the Fever ahead after a late comeback from the Washington Mystics.
Indiana was up by as many as 16 points before Washington started to come back in the fourth quarter. The Mystics finally took the 74-73 lead with less than a minute remaining in the game, off a layup from Shakira Austin.
Clark then had a chance to give the Fever the lead with a pair of free throws, but uncharacteristically missed both.

UNCASVILLE, Conn. (AP) — Breanna Stewart scored 28 points, including a key putback with 24.8 seconds left, Han Xu had 14 points in her first career WNBA start, and the New York Liberty beat the Connecticut Sun 89-80 on Monday night.
Xu started in place of Jonquel Jones, who was a late scratch because of an illness. Jones, who spent six years with the Sun before coming to New York in 2023, had her No. 35 jersey retired by Connecticut before the game.
Connecticut got within 85-80 with 45.9 seconds remaining — the closest the Sun had been in the fourth quarter.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Caitlin Clark’s 3-pointer with 1.2 seconds left gave the Indiana Fever a 78-76 victory over the Washington Mystics on Monday night.
Washington rallied from a 17-point deficit and led by one after Sonia Citron’s two free throws with 4.3 seconds remaining, but after a timeout, Clark caught a crosscourt pass and was all alone after Cotie McMahon went for the steal and missed.
