A couple of years ago, the slogan, at least outside the dressing room, was “No Scotland, no party”. Now it is different. The core of Andy Robertson’s message was “no regrets”.
No man has captained Scotland in more games, nor led them in three major tournaments. But the first two have provided disappointment. Instead of no regrets, there were no wins. Two years ago, Scotland opened Euro 2024, but it was a false start for them, walloped 5-1 by Germany. Performances were more respectable in Euro 2020 but the outcome was the same: one point apiece.

FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas basketball sophomore Isaiah Sealy sustained a knee injury in a recent practice that will require surgery, according to a social media post from head coach John Calipari.
Calipari said that the Razorbacks do not know the current timeline for Sealy’s return.
“I am disappointed for him because he has gotten so much better and spent time working on his game,” Calipari wrote on the ‘X’ app.
Sealy played sparingly across 19 games during his freshman season. The 6-foot-7 wing averaged 2.9 points and 1.

Kingussie retained the MacTavish Cup with a 2-0 defeat of local rivals Newtonmore in a bad-tempered final at Bught Park in Inverness.
A busy but unproductive first half boiled down to a single save at either end – Kingussie’s Bob MacGregor denying Iain Robinson, then Kenny Ross thwarting Ruaridh Anderson.
Within two minutes of the restart, 55-year-old Ross – who was man of the match – produced an spectacular stop from Dylan Borthwick’s effort.
WASHINGTON, D.C. — As far as historic moments at the Lincoln Memorial go, Josh Hokit’s attempts to keep “The Hulk” at bay will fall just short of heroic, and it’s doubtful his suggestion that Alex Pereira chews up Ilia Topuria’s food for him carries the same longterm gravity as Martin Luther King’s famous “I Had a Dream” speech.
Other than that, nothing was all that demeaning Thursday night in the nation’s capital beyond the UFC’s general presence at the sacred shrine, as the fighters were on their best behavior in the marmoreal world of monuments.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are coming off a disappointing 2025 season. At one time, the team looked like one of the best in the league, but they ended up having one of the worst collapses in the league.
It’s safe to say the team has higher expectations for 2026. The NFC South is still very winnable and the team still has solid playmakers like Bucky Irving, Emeka Egbuka, and Chris Godwin.

Four games, three opening ceremonies, victories for two of the host nations and an eye-catching performance in an entertaining draw for the third.
Setting aside issues around ticket prices and blocked entry for match officials and players, the World Cup itself has got off to a decent start.
Now it really starts hotting up.

Did Jacob Misiorowski just pitch the greatest game in Milwaukee Brewers history?
Absolutely, and it wasn’t even close, if you consult the “game score” metric. Devised by baseball luminary Bill James, is a pretty simple mechanism that opens at 50 for each starting pitcher and awards points for successes (1 for each out, 3 for each inning, 2 more for each inning after the fourth, 1 for each strikeout) but also subtracts for hits (2), earned runs (4), unearned runs (2) and walks (1).
Using the score, Misiorowski is the only Brewers pitcher to ever hit 100.

After a “mistake” ended his qualifying session at the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix, a despondent Charles Leclerc admitted to feeling “ashamed and disappointed” about the error that cut his Q3 session short.
A massive update coming straight from the Barcelona-Catalunya circuit: the red flags are officially flying during Q3 of the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix.

1997 Formula 1 champion Jacques Villeneuve believes George Russell’s “smoother” driving style gives him an upper hand over his Mercedes team-mate Kimi Antonelli at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

While Russell was a clear favourite heading into the season, Antonelli has surprised many with five consecutive wins in China, Japan, Miami, Canada and Monaco.

Barcelona has never been shy about separating the wheat form the chaff, and right now it’s doing exactly that to Williams. James Vowles conceded ahead of the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix that the FW48’s weight problem – something the Grove squad has been managing since before the season even started – hurts significantly more at a hot, high-demand circuit than it did at Monaco or Montreal.
In terms of returning production, the Oregon Ducks couldn’t have asked for much more this offseason. Not only did Dante Moore and an outstanding receiver room return, but the Ducks’ entire starting defensive line is back, as well as the young stars in the secondary.
The Ducks did add pieces here and there in the transfer portal, but they left the linebacker room untouched, outside of the additions from the incoming recruiting class. That was a mild surprise, given the Ducks are losing their leading tackler from the past two seasons, linebacker Bryce Boettcher.

For 114 years, the iconic Fenway Park has hosted some of the greats of baseball.
Set just a handful of blocks back from the Charles River, the likes of a fledgling Babe Ruth, the formidable Ted Williams and legendary pitcher Cy Young all made their mark at Fenway, an antique cathedral of sporting greatness.
But in the outskirts of Boston on Saturday, it could be Steve Clarke who is about to hurl one almighty curveball that even Babe Ruth would struggle to read.

Real Madrid and Barcelona are at war right now over the Negreira case, with neither side giving an inch of space. They are now locked in a legal battle, especially after Barcelona filed a conciliation request against Perez.

Italy’s World Cup Absence Raises Questions For Serie A Stars
Italy missing another World Cup is no longer a shock result that can be explained away by one bad night. It has become a deeper football conversation, one that stretches from Coverciano to Serie A dressing rooms and from club academies to the expectations placed on established Azzurri players. For a nation that still sees itself through the lens of 2006, the silence around another summer without Italy feels heavy.
