Sam Darnold is the talk of the NFL world after the quarterback won Super Bowl LX for the Seattle Seahawks. While he didn’t have a perfect game, he showed enough poise and patience to beat the New England Patriots, 29-13.

Michael Carrick shares reasoning for benching Benjamin Sesko after point-saving heroics vs. West Ham
Manchester United interim head coach Michael Carrick has revealed why Benjamin Sesko started on the bench for Tuesday’s 1-1 draw with West Ham.
Sesko saves United
Sesko’s 96th-minute equaliser broke West Ham hearts and rescued a point for United, ensuring Carrick remains unbeaten since his arrival as Ruben Amorim’s temporary replacement.
Colossal Casemiro showed Man United what they’ll be missing vs. West Ham
Manchester United left it late to continue Michael Carrick’s unbeaten run as head coach, but found an injury-time equaliser to salvage a 1-1 draw at West Ham.
Benjamin Sesko’s deft flick was the crucial moment for the Red Devils, but despite long stretches of mediocrity there were some credible performances elsewhere on the pitch.
Classy Casemiro
Casemiro continued his run of fine form even as those around him regressed, and was once again a key figure for United in the middle of the park.

Rich Ruohonen is the oldest athlete for Team USA at the 2026 Winter Olympics. The 54-year-old works as a personal injury attorney in Minnesota for his day job, but he’s also one of the most accomplished figures in his sport as a two-time national champion. This is his first appearance at the Olympics after years of just falling short.
Ruohonen used his spotlight at the Olympics on Tuesday to deliver an important message: what’s happening in his home state of Minnesota right now is not okay as federal immigration officers tear apart the city looking to meet deportation quotas.

As we wait for the WNBA and the Players’ Union to reach a new contract ahead of the 2026 season, there is a looming sense of anxiety about what comes next. Being able to fit everything in before the WNBA’s scheduled May 8 season tip-off won’t be easy, even if a deal is reached soon.

Texas Longhorns freshman running back Derrek Cooper isn’t shying away from the lofty expectations that have accompanied the consensus four-star prospect to the Forty Acres — in an Instagram reel on Tuesday, Cooper revealed that he’ll wear the No. 5 jersey this season.
It’s the same jersey that Bijan Robinson wore for the Longhorns on the way to the Doak Walker Award in 2022 as the nation’s top running back. Robinson finished his career in burnt orange and white fourth in school history in rushing yards (3,410) and total touchdowns (41).
The Detroit Tigers will be without Reese Olson for the 2026 season.
The 26-year-old right-hander underwent shoulder surgery Feb. 2 and has been placed on the 60-day injured list. Pitchers and catchers are scheduled to report to spring training Wednesday, Feb. 11, for their first workout in Lakeland, Florida.
Olson won’t pitch for the Tigers until 2027.
He tried to rehab from a season-ending shoulder injury throughout the offseason, but setbacks led to surgery.
Olson, who turns 27 in late July, owns a 3.60 ERA in his three-year MLB career, spanning 56 games (53 starts).
ASHBURN, Va. (AP) — Going from the highs of the 2024 NFC championship to a 5-12 record last season led Dan Quinn to consider changes. The Washington Commanders coach made several significant ones.
Quinn formally introduced two key additions to his on Tuesday: offensive coordinator David Blough and defensive coordinator Daronte Jones. They replaced Kliff Kingsbury and Joe Whitt Jr.
Kingsbury, the former Arizona Cardinals head coach, and Whitt, a longtime Quinn colleague, moved on following the season.

Cole Palmer’s face said it all. His mouth agasp in utter disbelief, the 94th-minute open-goal miss of the weekend’s hat-trick hero perhaps signalled the end of Liam Rosenior’s honeymoon period is over. And once more, it’s against Leeds United where fortunes change for a Chelsea manager.
Before the visit of Daniel Farke’s men, Rosenior’s early career at the Stamford Bridge helm consisted of seven wins in nine games, only suffering defeat in Chelsea’s two Carabao Cup semi-final legs against quadruple-chasing Arsenal.
American skier Hunter Hess decided that a press conference ahead of the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics was the perfect time to air his grievances with the United States of America. It didn’t go well, and Hess has now basically backtracked from his initial commentary.
“I love my country 🇺🇸,” Hess posted Monday on Instagram. “There is so much that is great about America, but there are always things that could be better.
