With tickets for the College Football Playoff about to be flying off Christmas shelves like Christmas elves, fans are going to be looking for things to do, places to stay and restaurants to eat at come playoff time. The most popular spot will be Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, which hosts the Orange Bowl on Jan. 9, 2025. Here’s what I would do around Hard Rock Stadium come playoff time.

Mike Tyson is back in the spotlight for his fight against YouTube prankster Jake Paul going down Friday on Netflix. At 58 years old, Tyson is far removed from his heyday as one of the most ferocious boxers of all-time. This fight against Paul offers an opportunity for younger sports fans to learn about his career who weren’t even born for his stretch as the undisputed heavyweight champion from 1987-1990.
The pre-fight build up between Tyson and Paul has been full of shenanigans.

As OutKick reported on Wednesday, a dozen women filed a lawsuit against the Mountain West, among other defendants, alleging First Amendment violations surrounding San Jose State volleyball’s transgender player, Blaire Fleming. 
Of the 12 plaintiffs, nine are current players representing five Mountain West schools: San Jose State, Boise State, Wyoming, Utah State and Nevada. 
Boise State, Wyoming, Nevada and Utah State have forfeited a total of six conference matches against San Jose State because they did not want to compete against Fleming, a biological male.

Williams F1 will unveil their newest driver at post-season testing following the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix
Fans of Williams who are excited to see Carlos Sainz Jr. make the move to the team from Ferrari for the 2025 Formula 1 season will not need to wait too much longer to see their new driver in action.
They just need to wait until the end of the 2024 F1 campaign.
Williams announced on Friday that Sainz will make his debut for the team at the post-season test in Abu Dhabi, following the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

Eagles fans knew who to thank.
Saquon Barkley has been playing stellar football all season, but he absolutely went off on Thursday Night Football. The Eagles’ running back finished his night with 26 carries for 146 yards and two touchdowns, adding another two receptions for 56 yards.
On a night where neither team’s passing offense was shining, it was Barkley who took on the role of difference maker. After the game it was Eagles fans who knew exactly who to thank for making it all happen.

Despite sitting towards to the top of the leaderboard, Tyrrell Hatton is not pleased, specifically with the 18th hole.
Englishman Tyrrell Hatton has never been shy about expressing his opinions or displeasure on the golf course. He is also never afraid to drop an unabashed expletive whenever something does not go his way.
So, Hatton’s little spat on the 18th fairway on Friday should come as no surprise.

The Tennessee-Georgia game in Athens is, by far, the biggest, as it will likely serve as a de facto CFP elimination game for the Bulldogs.
Elsewhere, Missouri is in an elimination game as well and will visit a hot South Carolina team. Colorado controls its destiny in the race to win the Big 12 Championship Game, but has to get by Utah first in order to keep the magical season alive.

Russell Wilson’s incredible comeback story really could make him the Steelers QB of the immediate future.
It’s amazing that in his 18 years as the Pittsburgh Steelers’ head coach, Mike Tomlin has never had a losing season. That’s common knowledge.
What’s far more amazing is that from 2021-2023, Tomlin’s team managed three straight winning seasons, and two playoff berths, with negative point differentials. Pittsburgh was -51 behind their opponents in 2021 with a 9-7-1 record and a Wild Card playoff berth.

Wisconsin football fans, once again, are behaving like cowards going into a big game.

After her first round at The ANNIKA, World No. 1 Nelly Korda talked about her experience modeling for Sports Illustrated.
The news of Sports Illustrated inviting Nelly Korda to model for its 2025 Swimsuit edition broke a couple of weeks ago, but the World No. 1 has now talked about it openly for the first time.
Her comments on her experience followed her opening round 4-under 66 at The ANNIKA.
“It was so cool,” Korda said Thursday.

The Giants didn’t want to pay Barkley, so their rivals were happy to swoop in to add him. On Thursday, he made all the difference in a win over Washington.

The Washington Commanders and Philadelphia Eagles kicked off Week 11 in the NFL. With just a half-game separating the two teams, it was bound to be an impactful game in the NFC East race but also the Wild Card.
The Eagles put on a clinic, wearing down the Commanders on both sides of the ball before eventually pulling ahead for good.
