Yahoo’s Dan Wolken, a regular contender in OutKick’s yearly Woke All-Star Challenge Bracket, decided to put his name back in the hat for 2026. Wolken took to X, formerly Twitter, to claim that I created a “strawman” by asking Tom Izzo and Dan Hurley about media criticism of their tough-nosed coaching styles ahead of the Sweet 16 in Washington, D.C. 
Before I get to that, I want to quickly set the scene.

Robert Griffin III hasn’t played in the NFL since the 2020 season. But the former Heisman Trophy winner and one-time Pro Bowler is making a return to the field — a much smaller one that will be on a big stage in close to two years.

Legendary athlete Mary Rand, the first British woman to ever win Olympic gold in track and field, has died at the age of 86.
Great Britain’s original “golden girl”, Rand topped the podium in the long jump at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, doing so with a world-record leap of 6.76m.
She then went on to achieve a feat that wouldn’t be replicated until Emma Finucane’s heroics at Paris 2024, adding pentathlon silver and 4x100m relay bronze to her Tokyo haul to become the only British female athlete to win three track and field medals in a single Games.

Alexander Zverev faces a tough challenge in the Miami Open semi-finals as he goes up against Jannik Sinner.
Zverev lost to Sinner at Indian Wells not long ago, but he has responded well, putting together a strong run in Miami.
So far, he has dropped just one set across matches against Francisco Cerundolo, Marin Cilic, Quentin Halys and Martin Damm.
Sinner is a different level though and Zverev knows exactly how difficult the world number two will be to overcome.

Demetrious Johnson and T.J. Dillashaw could have met in the UFC’s octagon, but according to the former flyweight champion, the promotion wasn’t willing to pay the price.
Johnson held the 125-pound UFC title from 2012 to 2018, defending it 11 times. Depending on whose recollection of the timeline of events is more accurate, “Mighty Mouse” could have mixed it up with bantamweight champion Dillashaw at 125 pounds at some point, creating a superfight between the two lightest classes in the UFC.

A year ago, the Clemson Tigers lost five players from its roster to the transfer portal after coach Brad Brownell’s team finished 18-2 in ACC play and made the NCAA Tournament as a No. 5 seed.
This year’s team didn’t accomplishment that many wins, but it did reach March Madness for the third season in a row. And while the exact number of players from the 2025-26 group that will hit the transfer portal won’t be known for a few weeks, Clemson already knows of one player who won’t be back next season.

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Boston Red Sox paid Kristian Campbell early last April because the organization believed in the 2023 fourth-rounder after his meteoric minor league rise. 
His MLB experiment came crashing down after just 11 weeks in the show last season. Campbell struggled defensively at second base and hit just .223 in 67 games. The Red Sox sent him to Triple-A Worcester to reset his environment and allow the young talent to refine his offensive approach and find his defensive strengths.
