The NBA announced on Monday that it’s approved the sale of the Portland Trail Blazers to a group led by Carolina Hurricanes owner Tom Dundon.
Per the league, the sale is expected to close this week. Dundon will serve as the team’s governor.

Dundon reached an agreement to purchase the team from the estate of late owner Paul Allen in August.

STUTTGART, Germany (AP) — Deniz Undav turned up the pressure on Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann to select him for the World Cup after he scored the 2-1 winner against Ghana on Monday to back up strong club form.
Undav hadn’t played for Germany since June but seven goals in his last six Bundesliga games helped him earn a recall. Germany was playing the friendly at the home stadium of his club Stuttgart and fans chanted for Undav long before he came off the bench.

IOWA CITY — Iowa football has officially announced Jay Norvell as its new running backs coach.
Norvell was recently hired as a senior anaylst, but got promoted following the departure of now-former running backs coach Omar Young.
Norvell, who played at Iowa, previously served as the head football coach for Colorado State and Nevada. He also spent time on the staffs at Arizona State, Texas, Oklahoma, UCLA, Iowa State, UNI, Nebraska, as well as in the NFL with the Oakland Raiders and Indianapolis Colts.

The NFL will partner with TMRW Sports to start a professional flag football league for men and women, the league announced Monday.
The flag league will launch with support from an investor pool that includes NFL clubs, established institutional and strategic investors and current and former NFL players. Former NFL players Peyton Manning, Joe Montana, Steve Young, Larry Fitzgerald, Tom Brady, Eli Manning, Justin Tuck, Ryan Nece and Dhani Jones, and current players Arik Armstead, Bobby Wagner and Russell Wilson are investing in the league.

A breath of fresh air for Clemsonbasketball fans, Zac Foster is coming back for another year.
After a freshman season that was cut short by an ACL injury in December, the Clemson guard is set to return to the Tigers, giving Brad Brownell a key piece back in the backcourt heading into next season.
Before the injury, Foster had started to write himself out a real role on the team, appearing in 12 games and averaging 6.9 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game. His ability to create off the dribble flashed early, and now Clemson gets that back with a full offseason to build.

Denver’s 116–93 win over the Golden State Warriors came off the back of a halftime shift that was easy to spot.
