Sauce Gardner apologized on Wednesday for clapping back at fans and reporters on social media after the New York Jets’ 31-6 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
“That’s on me. Me being a leader of the team, of the defense, I can’t be on social media with my emotions, saying certain stuff,” Gardner said. “I know better. My coaches know that I know better. My teammates know that I know better. I’ve just got to be better. Obviously things are not going the way we expected them to go. But what I can say is I’m going to do everything in my power to change that.

The Tampa Bay Rays will have a temporary home in 2025 after Hurricane Milton shredded the roof of Tropicana Stadium and lucky for the team and their fans, they won’t have to go too far to catch a game.
According to the Associated Press, Rays owner Stuart Steinberger said that spending the 2025 season playing home games at Tampa’s Steinbrenner Field would be the best option for the team given the circumstances.
“It is singularly the best opportunity for our fans to experience 81 games of major league Rays baseball,” he said.

An English soccer official is under investigation after a video made the rounds that allegedly showed him snorting cocaine around the time of the EURO 2024 tournament in Germany.
UK news outlet The Sun published a video that appears to show David Coote snorting some kind of white powder through a United States banknote. The Sun claims that the video was taken on July 6, which was the day after Coote served in his final match at EURO 2024.

Imane Khelif is threatening legal action against a French journalist who reported on a leaked medical report about the Algerian boxer. The report provided evidence that the Algerian athlete has XY chromosomes and is a biological male.
“We will meet with the French journalist in court,” Khelif said, via NDTV.
Khelif — who won the gold medal in the women’s welterweight division — was a controversial figure throughout the 2024 Paris Olympics. The Algerian was previously removed from the Women’s World Boxing Championship in March 2023 because of a failed gender test.

It’s not too early to overreact to what we’re seeing from the start of the NBA’s 82-game grind. Trends historically begin to stabilize around the 20-game mark. While it would be unwise to suggest the Milwaukee Bucks and Philadelphia 76ers will continue to be among the worst teams in the league all year, plenty of what we’re seeing so far feels real.
