Check out the thrilling recap of the Final Roun
There may not be a pettier league on the face of this planet than the NBA.
Players, coaches, and even fans take great delight in the anguish of their rivals, and they will never miss an opportunity to twist the knife when given the chance.
That gets ratcheted up even higher when the playoffs roll around, which is why this latest example of fan pettiness should come as no surprise.
To set this up, when the Philadelphia 76ers won their play-in game against the Orlando Magic on Wednesday, the fans made it clear they were ready for their next opponent, the hated Boston Celtics.

The Colorado Rockies entered the weekend tied for last place in the NL West, trailing the Los Angeles Dodgers by 7.5 games just 19 games into the 2026 MLB season. They snapped a six-game losing streak Thursday with a win over the Houston Astros.
The Rockies welcomed the Dodgers to Coors Field for a four-game set, and based on how both teams were playing, it appeared to be an opportunity for the Dodgers to continue their torrid start to the season.

The NBA Playoffs are cutthroat. A lot of stars start to fade after 82 games and turn into non-factors when the postseason kicks off. Jalen Brunson was quite the opposite. He rose to the occasion when the Dallas Mavericks needed him and he continues to do the same for the New York Knicks. Amid their first-round matchup with the Atlanta Hawks, he got to reflect on his rise to stardom.

Hockey fans, the Stanley Cup Playoffs are officially here. The 2026 version might be as good as ever, with a bracket that feels as wide open as any in recent memory.

ESPN breaks down all the action from Night 2 of WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas.
You probably read that headline and thought to yourself, “Yeah, and the sky is blue. Where are you going with this?”
I realize the Miami Marlins aren’t exactly the picture of a model MLB franchise, with their myriad firesales and crappy attendance numbers, but every once in a while, even when the team starts to show signs that they aren’t completely destitute, a sign from God comes down and reminds their fans that they aren’t meant to have any fun.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — KeyBank Center is the site of the best story in the NHL: the Buffalo Sabres.

Tyler Reddick — winner: “Just really blessed with the late caution. Was that nuts or what? I couldn’t believe it. I mean, first off, I feel like I have to say obviously just for how I feel. I never like being on the inside of it. Really hate that for Christopher Bell. Good, hard racing. (Denny Hamlin) came up, I mean, I took off tight. Not thrilled I got Christopher there. I hate that for him because he was having a good, solid day. Man, these late race restarts get crazy. I obviously had a run on the 5. I was shocked I was able to get to his inside there.
Former world number one Mark Allen fought back from an “absolutely embarrassing” first session to beat China’s Zhang Anda 10-6 and move into the last 16 of the World Championship.
Northern Ireland’s Allen trailed 5-3 after Saturday’s first session at the Crucible without making a break of 50, and spent the evening having “some drinks with my mates, a few more drinks and watching the football”.
But on Sunday he looked a different player.
The 40-year-old produced a magnificent clearance of 140 to start his recovery, following that with a break of 109.

The league table never lies, apparently. It may do now. A supposed title decider ended with the side still in second nevertheless possessing the advantage. It has been Arsenal’s title to lose for months, but perhaps this defeat means it is being lost.

Another round of college football spring games took place across the nation earlier this week, as the weather continues to warm and the campuses farther to the north start their spring football activities.
While most programs are using this time to iron out their quarterback depth chart or figure out what their two-deep looks like along the offensive line, there are others who treat their spring game as a celebration for the fans as well as a culmination of the players’ hard work this winter.

Who are Bayern’s most decorated players in the Bundesliga?
Bayern have long been Germany’s most decorated club, surpassing Nürnberg’s total of nine championships back in 1987. The Munich men have since pulled well ahead of the competition and are now champions of Germany for a 35th time.
In terms of individual players, Bayern legend Thomas Müller became the benchmark when he lifted the Meisterschale for the 13th time in 2025. But now he has to share top spot in German football with long-time teammate Manuel Neuer after the goalkeeper captained Bayern to glory yet again in 2026.

It’d be difficult to argue the Warriors deserved to find themselves in the playoffs.
The team won just 37 games, dealt with a plethora of injuries and made big in-season trades … but did not look like a genuine threat at any stage of the season.
While the Warriors momentarily turned back the clock against the Los Angeles Clippers in their first play-in game, it also very much felt like their last gasp of the season.
The days of the Warriors consistently outperforming their roster capabilities seem to be over, once and for all.

The Chicago White Sox made a mildly surprising addition this past offseason when they went out and signed Japanese superstar slugger Munetaka Murakami to a $34 million contract.
It was a deal less than what many expected Murakami could get, and it is also paying off dividends already this season. Through just the first 21 games of the year, Murakami is hitting at an incredible rate.

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland admitted he could have got Gabriel Magalhaes sent off for pushing his head towards him, which means the Arsenal centre-back will be available for the Premier League run-in after he avoided a red card in the title showdown.
Haaland and Gabriel were involved in a long-running battle at the Etihad but tensions spilled over in the 83rd minute. It was sparked when Haaland gave Gabriel a push from the side after he had been fouled from behind by the Arsenal defender.
Every year, analysts and media members put together ideal draft fits for each NFL team. These “perfect pairings” are typically based on roster needs, scheme fit, and the excitement of connecting a talented prospect with a franchise that makes sense on paper. More often than not, though, those dream scenarios never become reality, whether the player comes off the board too early, a team is picking too late, or a more urgent need changes the plan. The unpredictability of the draft is what makes projecting these matches so difficult, but it’s also what makes the process so entertaining.
Charles Barkley says he and Michael Jordan are talking again after nearly 15 years and that the two plan to play golf together in the offseason.

Erling Haaland helped Manchester City land a telling blow in the Premier League title race as his goal gave Manchester City a crucial 2-1 win over Arsenal.

Before Saturday night’s game at Coors Field, Shohei Ohtani was involved in one of the coolest pregame moments we’ve ever seen.
After finishing a throwing session, the Los Angeles Dodgers two-way star was told about a woman sitting nearby in a wheelchair. So he walked over, knelt down and introduced himself.
That woman was Momoyo Nakamoto Kelley — a 100-year-old survivor of the atomic bombing of Nagasaki.
Kelley, who was 19 years old when the bomb was dropped on Aug. 9, 1945, later immigrated to the United States and now lives in Salt Lake City.
